Are the Kong dental stick size large (the red one) and Kong’s puppy teething stick size large (the pink/blue one) the same size? I can’t tell the way the dimensions show when comparing the two, or from pictures. My dog has the puppy size large and am hoping to size up with the adult size. Thanks!

The KONG Dental Stick Dog Toy and KONG Puppy Teething Stick Dog Toy are the same sizes. The only difference is the toughness of the rubber material.

does it last for long, she a a labwith a love of dental sticks Suzie

This is made out of a durable, natural rubber. Supervised play will help toys last longer and most importantly keep your pal safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off.

which size dental stick for a 23 lb dog? (She is a F1 longhaired chiquaqua x beagle).

Answer by ChewySep 15, 2020
The Small is suitable for dogs up to 20 pounds, the Medium is suitable for dogs between 15-35 pounds, and the Large is suitable for dogs between 30-65 pounds.

my dogs range from 60-80lbs...should I get the medium or large size?

Answer by ChewyJul 01, 2020

My husband and I bought a puppy and the puppy is teething tremendously. I bought a small and a medium as the puppy is teething, a lot. These Kong dental sticks are absolutely great! As with anything that you give your animals they need to be watched and I realized that I needed to buy a medium also as the puppy is growing fast. Thank you chewy for having such a great product for my puppy to use as my puppy is going through the teething stage

Kong Toys Are The Best

Both of our dogs love this thing. (Old 14 1/2 year old golden and 9 month old Corgi). Both are insane chewers so anything Kong is welcome in our home. This particular toy is one of the few toys that my corgi pup will actually sit and chew on by himself for long periods of time. This is a huge win when I need a break from puppy energy. I have noticed a few small bits come off but far less than other toys.

I had to doublecheck the size... Medium = Really small

Kong prices and quality have gone down hill. I have not had these for 12 hours and already nibbled down. If its not a Black Kong dont waste your money this brand

Almost in destructible

This is the second one of these that my dog has had. She is a very heavy chewer and this toy lasted a couple of months. Far longer than many toys.

Great for teething puppy

I put Kong liver in the squeeze can in the grooves and freeze. Excellent for keeping my puppy's razor teeth occupied.

Didn't last

My dog has destroyed a LOT of toys. "Indestructible", "invincible", you name the brand, she's probably shredded it. VERY few things have lasted more than 20-30 minutes. Kong Extreme and larger regular Kong toys are one of the few that she usually can't destroy. I was hoping all the grooves and ridges of this one would let it flex more and not rip apart as quickly, but nope. She had a couple good size pieces pulled off in under 30 minutes. She had fun chewing on it while it lasted, but isn't worth Kong's prices (even as a BOGO). Not recommended. Get the large Kong Extreme Ball, Goodie Ribbon, or Dental Chew, Goughnuts brand toys, large WoofBite ball, or large West Paw Jive ball instead. Those she hasn't been able to demolish.
