What are the dimensions of the large/x-large saddlebags?

The dimensions are 10.5” across the top from edge to edge where the bag is attached to the body harness. 8” deep, measured at the back of the bag from top to bottom. The top flap is 7”, measured from back to the widest part of the arc. The area below the zipper to the bottom of the bag is 5” at its widest point. The bottom gusset is 9” x 3” at its widest points.
Does the leash attach to this daypack? My dog can be an escape artist and usually wears a harness will this act like a harness to keep him secure?
