This lick pad would work fine for all other Dogs except mine. He wanted nothing to do with it. It is well made, price was great just I happened to rescue Mr. Picky and so I will be donating it
Caution when using this!! Dog almost choked. I just tried to use it on my 65 pound dog in the bath. I tried everything to get it to stick to the wall but it wouldn’t. I ended up with a big peanut butter mess. I thought I had it stuck and then my dog licked it right off and almost swallowed it ! It’s very thin. I laid it on the side of the tub but I had to keep one hand on it otherwise it would’ve come up. Maybe if you have a small dog under 20 pounds this would be good. It was easy to clean but I’m definitely donating to the shelter. I don’t blame chewy because they are always amazing.
Distracted my Pitty mix when I gave him a bath and was able to do a bit of a nail trim also
Experienced these during underwater treadmill at PT after CL surgery. A must have for distraction when working on your dog
Although it says “large”, that should not be used as an indication that you could use it for a large or medium dog. It is so thin and doesnt “stick” that when my dog licked it, it just fell. Useless.
I use this lick pad for my pup when I clip her nails, and she loves it! It holds a good bit of peanut butter, but a large dog might get through this pretty quickly. My pup is about 25lbs and this works great for her for about 6-7 minutes. She sometimes tries to bite it off the tub wall but has not succeeded or damaged the product thus far. As long as you have a smooth surface like a countertop or tub, this thing will stick! I also love that it can go right in the dishwasher!
I smear cottage cheese or yogurt on it and pop it into the freezer. He loves it so much and doesn’t come up from it until it’s all gone!
This lick pad works great. My dog uses it often during baths. It helps him
I got this lick pad hoping that it would stick in the back of my dog's kennel to help with kennel training. It does not stick very well to plastic. I made sure the pad and the kennel were clean. I tried it dry, I tried it wet...it stuck up for a couple of minutes wet but fell down as soon as the dog took her first lick. My dog loves to chew, so as soon as it fell, I had to watch like a hawk. I wasn't going to leave her unattended, but I didn't want to have to be hyper focused on the situation either. It works fine in the bath tub, so it's still useful for me, but that wasn't the main thing I needed it for.
This is on me - the product description says “large” so I didn’t bother to check the dimensions. This is tiny, with very little lickable area.
