What's the difference between the seacham prime and seachem safe?
Answer by • Jul 20, 2018
Seachem Prime is a liquid concentrated conditioner for salt and freshwater, while Seachem Safe is a dry conditioner for both marine and freshwater aquariums. Both products removes chlorine and chloramine, and detoxifies ammonia, converting it into a safe, non-toxic form that is readily removed by the tank’s biofilter. You'll also use both at the startup and whenever adding or replacing water.

Prime works pretty much instantly to remove chlorine/chloramine and detoxify ammonia/nitrite/nitrate. Most people use Prime with fish already in the system so they can be added back in right away.
