This is a great pan!
I recently adopted a 16 year old cat that has been using Feline Pine leather. I didn't like how it left the usual litter pan with a lot of sawdust on the bottom
I recently adopted a 16 year old cat that has been using Feline Pine leather. I didn't like how it left the usual litter pan with a lot of sawdust on the bottom that I knew included urine. It was almost impossible to scoop the sawdust. This pan allows the sawdust to drop through to a tray below. Some complaint that you're interrupt through also. I choose to use small pee pads on the tray, five come with the pan and reasonably priced separately. The pee pad can be a little bit wet but it just doesn't bother me. I replaced the pee pad so far every 2 days. I think it's a very great way to handle this kind of litter. My cat took to the pan immediately.

Works great
This litterbox works really well. It is easy to keep clean. This combined with the pine pellets and litterbox pee pads in the bottom tray keep the odor away.

I've got a senior cat with really bad arthritis so I was worried the litterbox would be too tall for him, but he hasn't had a single problem! It's also super easy

I switched to pine pellet litter to cut down on how much litter was being tracked all over my carpet and now I only have to vacuum 1-2 times a week instead of every day.

However, there is only about 1 inch of space in the drawer for the saw dust to collect, and the sifting holes area is wider than the drawer collection area allowing urine and sawdust to sift (go) onto the floor under the box. In other words useless

We recently moved and our cat's litter room is now the closet under the stairs, which is in a central location to our house. I bought this litter box when we decided to try pine pellets, in an attempt to get the stench under control. The litter box works great for my 11 lb adult Bengal cat, and it is very easy to clean the used pine debris from the tray beneath. I'm out of the cardboard pads they provided, so I'm going to try using some cut-out cardboard box pieces to catch the litter and liquid. If that doesn't work, I'll probably try some puppy pee pads.
