How long does it take to work once it is sprayed on my dog's vest and how long does it last?
Answer by ChewyApr 24, 2018
There are too many variables to determine how long it will last and the time frame in which results are to be seen. For best results, ThunderEase should be used for a full 30 days. The packaging indicates that ThunderEase Calming Spray can be applied directly to objects such as Thundershirt, carrier, crate, bedding, etc. Once applied to objects let sit for 15 min before introducing the pet. ThunderEase Calming Spray is safe enough to be reapplied every 4-5 hours as needed.

Can it be used around cats and birds
Answer by ChewyOct 17, 2017
This mist can safely be used around other animals including cats and fish.

Can you use spray with calming treat
Answer by ChewyMar 14, 2022
This spray may be used along with a calming treat.

Would this product be safe to use on a cat? Or is there a product like this specific to cats? I have read Apple blossom oil is what I need but didn't see that product w/Chewy
Answer by ChewyDec 13, 2017
This product is only recommended for dogs.

smells wonderful

This seems calming to my puppy. I spray a bit on the blanket she sleeps with. Also on the top of her head & ears at bedtime. She sleeps all night in her crate without a sound. It’s quite oily so a little goes a long way.

This stuff is amazing!

Worked great for 4th of July but the real test was for Hurricane Ian. Sprayed on blankets while we hunkered down in the closet. My anxious guy laid right down and mostly slept through 8+ hours of hurricane winds. Great product!

Really works!

I have tried seemingly everything for my dog who gets extremely anxious from fireworks, storms, and even wind. None of the calming chews or medicine from my vet seem to help, but this spray actually DOES work! A storm rolled in during the night a few days ago and she jumped up on the bed, panting and very freaked out. I sprayed this on her around her neck a few times (and also gave her some Rescue Remedy), and she calmed down fairly quickly. I'm very happy with this product because in the past she's kept me up all night from her loud panting and pacing. Definitely recommend trying!

Surprise - this actually worked for us!!!

I was the biggest skeptic on the planet but I have tried so many things for our long coat chihuahua and just thought oh what's one more! Purchased before 4th of July and it actually HELPED!! We have a Motor Home and Taya gets so stressed when we're driving. Wala . . . sprayed it on her and her bedding and she was so much calmer during the drive! We also have a super calm bernedoodle and I used the spray on him to calm our chihuahua down when she was laying next to him. That helped too!

A waste of money

I bought this calming spray because we have our grand dog for a few days including the 4th of July. She hates noises especially fireworks & thunder. I sprayed it on her bed, blanket & then later on I sprayed it on her neck. Nothing happened she shook & panted for hours like she always did. I wanted this to work but it didn't.

BEST THING EVER!

I used this spray for all sorts of anxious behavior for my 'boys,' but found out that when my shih tzu goes into Boss mode, this spray works especially well to calm him down. Don't know why it took me so long to purchase!

Works wonders

My Chihuahua is terrified of storms, fire works etc. I have her cookies that help with this the problem is once I know she needs a cookie she is already stressed and won't eat it. I have tried this product it works wonders. I spray a little on her neck and a little her blanket and she calms right down with in a few minutes. Couldn't recommend this more for pet parents with loud noise issues.

Didn't work for my dog

I didn't see any difference in my dog's anxiety with fireworks. Plus I found the strong smell unpleasant and it made my dog sneeze.
