Two questions: 1) Will the interior accommodate a 26" litter box? and 2) Can the entry be installed on either end or must it be on the right?

The bench is designed to hold a traditional uncovered litter box that fits within the internal space, measuring 35 inches wide, 18 deep and 15.5 inches tall. The opening can be placed on the left side or the right side.

What is the height from the floor on which the box would sit, to the top of the inside lid? How many inches of head clearance would the cat have inside the bench?

Great for non-automatic litter boxes

I was surprised to learn that this item does not fit the litter robot size. Rather it can be used with traditional litter boxes. This item was great for us, because

I was surprised to learn that this item does not fit the litter robot size. Rather it can be used with traditional litter boxes. This item was great for us, because experts suggest a litter box on each floor. This item goes great by the door and it's function as a litter box location is well hidden from guests. Our cats like the privacy it provides as well as looking out the window while sitting on top.
