What makes this harness “no pull.” Does it put pressure on the dog so he doesn’t pull?

The patented design works by discouraging what’s known as the “opposition reflex,” which is the reflex that encourages dogs to pull against pressure caused by traditional harnesses.

What type of dog seat belt could be used with this harness?

This harness has two metal rings that connect to the clasps on the leash. Any dog seat belt that can be secured or clasped onto the metal ring at the back of your dog's harness will work.

Are they any instance of chafing with this harness? Our dog has sensitive skin and her current harness leaves her red after every walk.

My 75-pound rescue adult male is loving and sweet, yet very opinionated and set in his way. This harness has helped tremendously in training him. Best part is the easy way it goes on the dog. He does not have to 'step into' any part which he, of course, would refuse to do. Since a rescue, don't need to traumatize any more than he already is. Love the product, bought a second one.

Depends on what you want

This is a good harness set up if you want to walk your dog closely. But personally, I didn’t feel it would work for my dog for that same reason. The double leash

This is a good harness set up if you want to walk your dog closely. But personally, I didn’t feel it would work for my dog for that same reason. The double leash set up is just too short for bathroom runs. Also, it isn’t padded so not ideal for car rides to connect to a seatbelt. Chewy helped me get this exchanged for a better harness for our dogs needs.

Helped my dog not choke himself on walks! Too bad he’s petty.

My dog Aioli was pulling a lot and choking himself on previous harnesses. After using this one I noticed he wasn’t choking himself as often, so I loved it! However

My dog Aioli was pulling a lot and choking himself on previous harnesses. After using this one I noticed he wasn’t choking himself as often, so I loved it! However Aioli HATES wearing anything, this harness included. He managed to chew through it while I wasn’t looking :’( I’m considering reordering this because it did really help with his pulling/choking, but I might shop around a bit for maybe something more durable (or add on bitters spray to my order, we’ll see). If your dog isn’t a petty and sneaky a-hole this would be perfect probably.

Game changer!!

This harness saved both my dog and myself! I was debating whether I would be adopting my 90 lb dog or not. I knew if I was unable to feel confident in my ability to control my dog on walks, then I wouldn't be able to keep her. I received high recommendations for this harness from both a volunteer at the shelter and also from my dog trainer friend. They couldn't recommend it enough, and now I can't either!! It only took 1 walk using this harness and it made all the difference in the world!! I am a seasoned dog owner, but I have never had a dog this large. Using this harness, I feel completely confident in my ability to control her, even when unexpected distractions occur. Thanks to this confidence, after 3 weeks of fostering, I made the adoption official last week and she has now found her forever home!

Was okay

At first, it greatly reduced her pulling tendencies, but after a while, she was able to adjust to it and now she pulls almost as hard as she does with a normal leash

At first, it greatly reduced her pulling tendencies, but after a while, she was able to adjust to it and now she pulls almost as hard as she does with a normal leash. The only benefit I see at this point is that the Leash is shorter now and she can't get as much traction with it.

I like the padded shoulder straps, the ease of use, and the good quality. And it does the job of curtailing pulling! Sizing recommendations seem very accurate

I bought a medium, knowing my puppy will likely need a large down the road. Sizing is always a gamble, but this one still gives room to grow.

I think it is how he is built, not the harness. I think it would work well, if you can get a good fit. When I contacted Chewy, they were great. Refunded my purchase right away.
