A Strong Heart Mixed Grill Dinner Pate Wet Cat Food, 13.2-oz can, case of 12

I really wanted this cat food to be a new favorite, but I have several reservations. First and most obvious is the size can. While I appreciate more food in a larger container (and I have multiple cats), at 13.2 oz, this can is much larger than standard size cat food cans (usually around 3 or 6 oz), so this brand offers more than twice the amount of food, which might not be ideal for single cat households. Second, the ingredient list is a huge concern: the first and third are (protein) by-products, which could contain a mixture of just about anything and truly make me worry about what kind of items are here, what part of what type of animal (the very first ingredient is just "meat," so there is no indication of the exact type or quality). Another questionable ingredient (fairly high on the list) is carrageenan, which is a thickener but a known carcinogen that other quality animal food companies have been pressured to remove from their canned food production. Finally (and perhaps related to quality), while my cats very much appreciate the pate texture of the food, there was NO pleasing scent at all coming from the can. Normally, other canned cat food of any protein type has some kind of pleasing aroma, but there is none present that I could discern from the first three cans. From size can and larger quantity to questionable unknown ingredients to seemingly lower quality, I regret that I cannot recommend this food and would not feed to my cats unless there were absolutely no other options.

You're a murderer I hate having to use an electric can opener to open five cans everyday. But the ingredients are just like those at Walmarts brand so they like them just as much.
