is there care instructions for the roaches added? if not what is the best way to ensure they dont die within days?

You can either store them in the cup they come in or you can get a Kritter holder. Then you can feed them carrots, roach chow and water crystals. Refeed them as needed every week.

Can these be shipped and survive in subfreezing temperatures or any guarantees they will arrive alive?

Most of the insects do well in colder temperatures. We include packing peanuts in the shipment so the insects keep themselves warm. The insects will some times go into a hibernation if they get too cold. Unpack the insects and have them sit at room temperature to warm back up.

I ordered the smallest. They were a tad smaller than expected, which is fine because it was so much less to order 100 at once and I assume they will grow before my gecko will eat them all. They arrived thirsty, but safely. I'm keeping them in a cricket cage with an upside down egg carton, a calcium diet for roaches and some quencher made for crickets too. The pets love them and they are the healthiest option. With my elderly lizard, we have to hold the dubias to feed them due to poor vision.

Greetings, While I love the convenience of getting my entire pet order from chewy, I will say that there consistently has not been 50 roaches in my orders. Considering the cost of these, I would hope the supplier would be more generous, or at the very least, provide the 50 that I pay for. I will be ordering these once more through chewy, but will have to switch to a different company if the order is lacking again. Thank you for your time, Chewy! You guys rock and have been my go-to for years for all my animal needs.

I have a weekly delivery of 50 medium roaches for my bearded dragon. The past 3 have been awful. 3 weeks ago the whole container was dead. 2 weeks ago half of the bugs were crushed because of poor handling. This past week, most were alive but I had some bugs that are not Dubia roaches mixed in with my regular order. I’m not sure what is going on currently, but hopefully they figure it out.
