About ACANA Highest Protein Dry Dog Food

ACANA Singles Limited Ingredient

Limited ingredient diets shouldn’t mean less meat. Ideal for food-sensitive or picky dogs, ACANA’s Singles recipes are made with 65% single-source animal protein, using meats like grass-fed lamb, free-run turkey, Yorkshire pork or ranch-raised beef.

Go Beyond the 1st Ingredient

With quality proteins like fresh or raw free-run poultry, grass-fed meats, freshwater and saltwater fish, and cage-free eggs, all of ACANA’s recipes are crafted with special care. They go beyond the first ingredient for wholesome goodness, using fresh refrigerated ingredients and raw ingredients frozen at the peak of freshness, with no added soy, corn, tapioca or wheat.

Thoughtfully Crafted from Start to Finish

*Approximate and derived from the unprocessed state of the ingredients.

*Fresh vegetables, fruit and botanicals, plus vitamins, minerals, probiotics and natural preservatives complete the nutritional profile.

*ACANA never adds any artificial flavors, colors or preservatives to their recipes.

ACANA’s Commitment To You

ACANA goes above and beyond in their commitment to quality, with meat-rich, balanced recipes made from carefully sourced ingredients.

PROTEIN FIRST

The first two ingredients in every recipe are fresh or raw meat, poultry or fish.

THOUGHTFULLY SOURCED

ACANA uses a trusted network of farmers, ranchers and fishers to source the wholesome foods for their recipes.

CRAFTED WITH CARE

Protein-rich animal ingredients complemented by fresh vegetables, fruit and botanicals provide balanced nutrition.

A track-and-trace system that goes beyond food industry standards helps ensure safety, quality and transparency in every batch.

Try a Rotational Diet

Try Rotational Feeding

Keep things exciting at mealtime by rotating the ACANA recipes you feed your dog. This will allow your best friend to enjoy a variety of animal proteins in delicious and nourishing new flavors. Don’t transition too abruptly, though—start by replacing 25% of the old food with the new recipe and gradually increase the amount over time.

Puppies are recommended to remain on puppy diets.

About ACANA

ACANA goes beyond the first ingredient in their foods, ensuring quality down to the very last ingredient on the label. From limited ingredient diets to recipes for all the stages of life, they take great care to provide the balanced, wholesome nutrition your pet needs for a long and happy life. Best on the market!

By BearsMom on Oct 12, 2021

I have a large breed puppy who crawled out of the woods alongside the forest at 5 weeks old. He was emaciated, dehydrated and packed full of worms. He has therefore had chronic health problems for his 11 months of life, so I had been prescribed expensive diet foods which did nothing. His whole body stunk like dirty ears and his pee was fluorescent yellow and very strong. His PH was running around 9 and he had thousands of crystale in his urine. We kept repeating urine tests after 3 rounds of antibiotics but nothing improved. Took him to another vet who did a clean catch by inserting a needle into his bladder and sent it off to a lab to see what if anything grew. Took him to another vet who did a clean catch by inserting a needle into his bladder and sent it off to a lab to see what if anything grew. There was zero bacteria in the culture so all this became a big mystery. We decided after close to $1k in vet bills to just stop treatments and see what happened. His condition remained the same so I contacted a doggie homeopath who instructed me to make bone broth and take him off prescription diet (she called junk) and put him on ACANA. To my surprise those two things alone have made a big difference. Hes happier, more energetic, smells better and his pee not as concentrated. I do mix bone broth into the food so this may be a combination thing. He did take to the flavor pretty fast and the size of the kibble is good for medium to large dogs. … more

    My dog loves it

    By Dk22 on Nov 5, 2021

This is the only food my dog can eat since she is allergic to chicken, rice, oats and peas. She loves this food and she don’t itch. I really hope they keep making this dog food or we will be in big trouble

    Game Changer

By Lisa on Aug 9, 2021

I received a fairly new bag of Acana Beef and Pumpkin from a Rover client of mine that said his pup wouldn't eat this because the kibbles were too big. I told him, please bring them over if he doesn't want them, as my pup enjoys trying new kibbles since he's a picky eater. My pup's previous rotational diet consisted of Victor All Professional beef and Wellness Core fish before I introduced Acana. He had went on his own hunger strike for about two days until I introduced some of the Acana kibbles into the bowl. Needless to say, he acted like he never ate before. He had one good large poop cause of Acana, and then as soon as he finished breakfast, he ran straight for the pad and made a second large I received a fairly new bag of Acana Beef and Pumpkin from a Rover client of mine that said his pup wouldn't eat this because the kibbles were too big. The only food for my pup's food insensitivities

    By Joe1 on Jul 9, 2021

I have literally tried almost every food and protein out there, including making food for my pup, and this is the only type that does remotely well with his food insensitivities. I won't feed him anything else moving forward, this is good stuff.

    Best dog food

By Zena on May 7, 2021

I have been trying so many dog foods, without any chicken, that my dog would like and would firm up her stools. Finally I put her on this and she eats her food readily and has great poops. For a large dog that is important. Hopefully they never change this food.

    Dogs love it

By Tnargitsirk on Jun 13, 2021

I knew our pups would love the simple ingredients and I like that they aren’t getting a lot of the fillers that are j chided in other dog foods.
