I’m vegan and was glad to come across a plant based food for Mel, my 4-year old mini doxie, who is a very picky eater with allergies. I feel like we’ve tried just about everything and that starts to add up over time. Day 1, I attempted to transition him from his last kibble to this but there was no need. He instantly loved it! He finished the entire bowl and by day 3 he was going to the pantry asking for it! I’m so happy to have found a healthier alternative that he enjoys and I noticed he itches less. So it’s a win, win!

My dog has a reaction to all animal proteins and was on the z/d diet, we felt with that for a long time until our vets office started losing staff and couldn’t renew in a timely manner (since z/d is prescription) we finally started looking into other options, I did my research folks, this is a good high protein plant based diet! My dog is happy to eat it! It’s looks better, smells better and has more benefits than the z/d food. My new vet is super impressed with this choice too!
Originally for one dog, now have four eating it
I bought this for my allergic to all meats and eggs Pittie. However, it is now a pack favorite. I feed it with the other pups’ regular food because it’s pricey,

My dog has a sensitive skin/digestion issue and although I was resistant to a non-meat dog food it has improved his overall skin condition. He eats it though not with the same gusto that he enjoyed previous foods. I add coconut yougurt and veggies matching the food to give him some different texture. I'm hoping his condition will calm down enough that I can go back to trying different food for reactions again. Good luck pet parents trying to figure this out.
Possible allergy to the Brewer’s yeast
My maltipoo loved this food BUT began itching terribly after 2 days. I think the brewers yeast may be the culprit. He normally eats a hydolyzed protein food band
My maltipoo loved this food BUT began itching terribly after 2 days. I think the brewers yeast may be the culprit. He normally eats a hydolyzed protein food band cause of his problem with animal protein. I thought I’d see if a vegetarian food might be an additional option for him. I’ve given him 3-4 wks on this Addiction food. He LOVES it but the itching means I have to go back to the hydolyzed protein. Were both bummed out about that.
Great for food intolerance
This vegetarian food gives her the nutrition she needs while taking a break from the standard beef, chicken, turkey alternatives.

Nope
My dogs wouldn't eat until i encouraged them. Even then, they ate around the new food and ate their old food.

My dogs love this, it is newer to them but my pickier one prefers this kibble. I really bought it for my rescue dog with a very sensitive stomach who has tried multiple OTC sensitive foods and prescription diets. He usually will do alright on what we’ve tried for him but eventually gets softer stools/diarrhea again on most foods. He’s gone through two small bags of it now, mixed with prescription GI low fat wet food and we’ve been adding less of the wet food, sometimes none at all. This plus Propectalin supplement has given him the most consistent firm/formed stools. Knocking on wood that this will continue to be his best combination since we adopted him about a year ago. I really like the clean ingredients and says it is cooked at a lower temperature to retain nutrients. Thank you New Zealand!

We went through so many diets trying to find one she not only was not allergic to, but that she would EAT. This is a consistent winner!
