How do you get the puppy to associate the bell to wanting to go out doors?

Answer by ChewyApr 12, 2018
Simply jingle the bells when you take your dog out, and reward him when he begins to use the bells himself to ensure his new habit sticks.

My question is, will this train the dog to think he is going out every time the door is open and shut, because of the bells ringing?

Answer by ChewyJan 18, 2019
With consistent training, it should not confuse the dog. They will be able to understand that their action to use the bell to get your attention is different from the bell making noise when the door moves, in general.

Is this good for tiny dogs?

Answer by ChewyApr 02, 2019
These hanging bells, once trained, can be used with all size dogs. There are two handy snap options to choose between 27-inches and 31-inches in length to accommodate most doors and sizes.

Do the bells ring loud enough to hear them?

Answer by ChewyNov 23, 2018
The bells are loud and can be heard in the video on the items page.

This bell was crucial in potty-training my blue heeler mix puppy. We got her at 6 weeks and she wasn’t fully trained until 6 months, but it seemed like one day a switch just flipped in her little brain and she started using the bell like a pro. It hangs from our back door, right by her cot. She even uses it in the middle of the night to wake us up (annoying but much better than cleaning up a mess!). It’s so cute to see her communicate with us via this bell. And I like how it’s colorful with paw prints. Makes it feel like it’s hers. She’s a very short 22 pounds and has no trouble reaching it.

I think the bells are fine.

Frankie was afraid of the bells. When he got over his fear he basically ignored them. Frankie just wasn’t impressed, so I count it up to another waste of money and

It’s snaps to Stay on the door knob and it’s not very secure. My public quickly figured out she didn’t have to pull very hard to get it to come off so she would gleefully run through the house shaking the bell.

Low quality material

This is made out of a ribbon material, which doesn’t seem sturdy enough for a dog. Retuning this for a nylon option instead.

Potty training belt

When we picked him up he was well on his way to potty training. Wish I wouldn't of bought it. Unless you are going to put 100% forth to have the dog hit the bells

When we picked him up he was well on his way to potty training. Wish I wouldn't of bought it. Unless you are going to put 100% forth to have the dog hit the bells I think it is a waste. My husband does not use it I do but I work all day. So it defeats the purpose since he home all day with my husband
