Training device is easily wiped clean with a damp cloth for maintenance.
Hang or secure your Advance® Potty Training Bells on the door your dog uses to go outside. Potty training bells should remain on the door at all times to be easily accessible whenever your dog needs to go out.
Teach your dog to tap the bells with their paw, nose or tail. To do that, familiarize your dog with the bells when it is time to go out to the potty. Say, “Let’s go potty; ring the bells,” while pointing to the potty training bells.
Help your dog ring the bells, then praise and let them outside. To encourage the desired behavior, be consistent and use the same phrase and actions each time.
Your dog will soon associate ringing the bells with being let out to go potty and will ring them without your reminder. Make sure you respond immediately to your dog ringing the potty training bells to avoid accidents or unwanted behavior. Be sure to offer praise every time.
My pitbull puppy did NOT understand that pottying was an outside activity until we got these bells. I made sure he rang the bells before he went outside every single time and two years later he still remembers what "Bell" means. Now that we have a more vocal dog that sets the timing for how often they go outside, we haven't used these in almost a year. If you don't have one of those vocal dogs, these bells are a must-have. Other pros: they're very durable, loud but not too loud, multiple "heights" for easier nosing, and unobtrusive. Sure they make noise each time you open the door, but they don't get in the way of anything. 5 stars, A+

Honestly, I love these bells we bought from chewy. It completely changes the game of potty training for you and the dog! The bells made it more enticing to my dog to want to go outside to do her business because she liked ringing them, lol. I would highly suggest these for anyone trying to potty train thier puppy.
Helps me know when he needs to go out!

I live with my puppy in an apartment several floors up. When he has to go, I need to know quickly so that I have time before he has an accident. He’s really smart, but I was surprised when he learned to ring the bells to go out within the first day of getting these. They’re loud enough to hear from my bedroom but not so loud that the neighbors can hear them ring at 6am. I definitely recommend. These have helped tremendously!
Perfect for our front door

I purchased these bells to help potty train our cocker-spaniel. The bells have an adjustable strap so they can be hung longer or shorter, as needed. The product is very well made, and works for both small and large dogs.
It Just Takes Time And Dedication With A Dash Of Patients

I have a 7-month-old GSD who was difficult to potty train. I was skeptical at first with the bell training. The first day I got him to nose the bells and by day three he was at the door ringing the bells to go out. A month in he is still doing well with the bell training and totally grasped the idea. He has only had accidents due to lazy owner(spouse) timing of taking him out, lol. My older dog loves the bells and will ring them to go outside to play or go to the bathroom.

We have a 9 week old Goldendoodle and he learned to use this bell in 1 week. Rings it and then sits until we take him out, would highly recommend it for training to get them to go outside

I thought I had created the perfect system for my puppy. Sit in front of the back door and I would let her out. But 90% of her accidents were because we didn't see or hear her at the back door.
We thought this would help due a coworkers suggestion. If the puppy doesn't see us, she rings the bells and it has worked. It took a few times to show her how they worked and what happened after they were rang but she caught on rather quick.
Great tool for potty training

This is a great tool to teach your dog to let you know when he needs to go out. Whether it be to go potty or out to play. When we first had our dog he was 2.5 months old and he used it to let us know he needed to go potty outside. But then he also used when he wanted to go out and play in the yard. Great tool!
Bells are Ringing

My puppy automatically made the bells ring. I put her outside, she played for a while and then came in the house and did her business. I have a very stubborn puppy and will take a long time to get her potty trained.
