We got this to give some shelter to neighborhood kitties we've been feeding. The cat house was relatively easy to put together (but note that when the instructions say it takes two people to build, that really is necessary for a few parts). A power drill makes it a lot easier. My wife likes the way it looks in our backyard. The kitties have paid it a little attention (treats inside disappear), but we haven't really been able to gauge whether they've been sleeping in it. We'll try a camera to check. It seems to be good against rain so far, but it's also not super warm inside, even with the heating pads plugged in. It's certainly warmer than being exposed to the elements, and maybe warmer still with a warm-bodied occupant.

It’s freezing cold and the heating pads don’t stay hot enough for our strays to stay. I even put wet food inside and it froze solid. The wood is super cheap and thin so the insulation factor is really bad. Sad I wasted so much money on it and it’s too late to return it

I like this cat house. Right out of the box, there were cracked boards. I glued and clamped the boards back together and also glued some of the panels to each other to give it added support. Even with this, the house needs a little more support. More support is needed where the steps to the 2nd level are. Even with glue on the supports, the wall that they are screwed/glued to flexes when a cat steps on them. I wish they would have used a more dense wood. Assembly was quite easy except I had troubles figuring out how to install the heating pads. This was not clear to me with the instructions, although, it is probably just me. LOL. Overall, I love this cat house. I am super impressed with the insulation and heating pad system. I love that the 2nd level roof opens up. I put cat food in there to try to entice my cat to actually go inside. He loves to sit on the 2nd level and just chill out. This is a super cute design. Love the little wooden railing on the 2nd level. I plan on painting it to match my mobile home.

I ordered this item for my two outside cats. The back wooden panel was cracked and had to be glued and clamped together. One pack of screws was completely missing and the wood is not very sturdy. The heating pads were difficult to install correctly and the instructions were not easy to follow. While it is pleasing to the eye, it was not worth the money. So far, my cats will not go near it, but I'm hoping that will change as it gets colder.
