Is the top screen part strong enough to handle the weight of an 8 pound cat?

Why is this item not suitable for a ferret?

I bought this hutch for my senior ferret and as soon as I opened the box I was hit with intense aromas of pine and fir. The hutch is made from fit wood reading through reviews, which is not safe for ferrets.

What is the square footage of the bottom area? Is this suitable for Guinea pigs?

This cage is suitable for guinea pigs. The bottom area measures 6.8 square feet and the top area measures 2.78 square feet.

Great! Pilot holes could use some work

This works so well for what I need it for. My New Zealand was not loving her outdoor hutch so I needed something that would be mess proof when she’s not free roaming

This works so well for what I need it for. My New Zealand was not loving her outdoor hutch so I needed something that would be mess proof when she’s not free roaming the house. It was relatively easy to put together by myself (took about 2 hours due to interrupting toddlers) but the pilot holes for the smaller hardware were either nonexistent or very difficult to place screws in. Aside from that I’m very happy with it. There was a smell but it has dissipated within a few hours!

Looks better than expected

My husband set this up. We have it indoors for the purpose of giving the bunnies an area to retreat to with openings too small for the dog just in case the dog

My husband set this up. We have it indoors for the purpose of giving the bunnies an area to retreat to with openings too small for the dog just in case the dog were to get into their enclosure. I can’t comment on the ease of set up because my husband did it but we are very pleased with it overall. The bunnies go in it voluntarily just to hang out and it’s been pretty easy to clean.

Weak design

Our bunny tore at the metal and it broke. Definitely not critter proof and can be destroyed from the inside by your critter.

Large indoor cage with lots of room

Looks great in the house. Easy to access each level. Very easy to clean. Can move around effortlessly with it being on wheels

The way it looks and amount of space inside

It’s pretty easy to assemble it. Plastic floors make a lot of noise, unless you put something on it like a pad or a thin blanket.

Damaged

There were multiple marks on the rabbit hutch plus it also took over two weeks for it to arrive, so there’s no point of me even returning it to get a replacement

Love it!

Our bunny is a bigger gal and she loves this but. She has free rage of the house until we go to bed and she still chooses to be in there. She’s being lazy right

She’s being lazy right now drinking her water, but I highly recommend this cage very sturdy. It did smell quite weird when we first built it but I think that must be to deter them from chewing on the wood
