We wanted to get him a hutch that would work for the both of us. He loves it a lot. Our rabbit is kind of big but he seems to be a bit older so he’s not having to move around so much. We hope it’s easy for him to get up the ramp but he seems to love the top slat the most. He loves sleeping so the hutch has a dark spot which is perfect for him.
I was happy with the overall product but parts are missing when we went to put it together. Specifically the latches for the top and side opening.
Do not buy for a guinea pig I bought it less than a month ago they chewed right through it what is the worst thing to get them I learned my lesson buy metal it says it's you can use it for guinea pigs do not get it
Wood for cage is fragile and not what I expected. The tray does not pull out very well and gets stuck often. Tray does not catch urine on the edges. Not what I hoped it would be but it will work for the time being.
This is really nice and spacious for our 2 Guinea pigs. Looks very nice and easy to assemble with a power drill. Took about an hour. Seems like it will hold up well inside.
Don't keep a rabbit in a hutch. They should be free roamed in a room of your house, at the very least. Also don't keep guinea pigs in these. Swap to a c&c enclosure or midwest habitat. We should be doing better with small animals.
Thought it would have been good for my bunny but it isn't what I expected at all. A lot of wood was cracked had to remove screws that were in it to another spot because of cracks
I thought this would be such a cute cage. The size is good and the quality is great BUT our rabbit has chewed the heck out of the wood. We can’t return it because he destroyed it so we spent $180 on a chew toy, we will try to fix it up ourselves but if not he will go back to his original cage. So disappointed I do not recommend if you have a destructive pet who chews like a cow!!
We ordered this for our Netherlands Dwarf rabbit, he just started using it this past week, mid May 2022. It seems to be a good size for him since he is a rather small rabbit even full grown. He appears to like it, he navigates the ramp just fine and the tray below is nice for catching waste that I can then remove and toss into our composting. I didn't feel there was quite enough rain protection for our little guy with the partial roof only covering the cubby side so we built a little mini pavilion of sorts to go around the entire hutch to help provide a bit more protection from the rain, sun and such. The wheels lock to create stability while keeping it stationary so that's really nice. The different access points from top and sides is also nice and the latches work well. I don't really think that this would work well for a larger rabbit though, our rabbit is quite small even full grown so this seems to be just right for him. I doubt I will leave this hutch outside over the winter though, so I am glad it is so versatile and easy to move as we will likely move it inside come mid-fall as our winters get rather cold around here.
This was very difficult to put together, cheaply made, legs are not very strong. Do not recommend
