Is this ok for Guinea pigs to stand in the wire floor or is it not safe for Guinea pigs? We have 2 and this would be perfect and especially with the easy cleaning option. Just didn’t know if their feet/paws could hurt or fall through?
How many Guinea Pigs would be happy living in this?
What color(s) is this cage?
What type of wood is used?

Broken, but Still Love Chewy

The hutch came incredibly splintered and unusable. As usual, Chewy customer service was amazing! They promptly refunded the item and told us not to worry about sending it back just to dispose of it as best as possible. So while I do not recommend the hutch due to quality issues, I always highly recommend Chewy!
Decent size

Kinda rough to put together but once up, it is spacious. The design is a bit awkward; we have our guinea pigs and not sure this is ideal for them; also, it’s leaking out the two they urinate in and there is always pee on the floor; trying to solve that problem. Having it on wheels is handy, there wasn’t a way to secure the top hatch open so we added some fabric to keep it from breaking off.
Not good for rabbits

For as much as this cost, I would expect better quality. It’s definitely a two-person assembly job. The ramp on the upper level never stayed in place from the beginning, and is now just loosely propped up. My two bunnies have completely chewed this hutch up everywhere, including the string meant to hold the roof propped open. The bottom tray is supposed to slide out for cleaning, but doesn’t do so smoothly or easily, resulting in a mess. We’re going to just trash this as soon as we find an affordable and better-quality cage.
Arrived broken and was hard to put together
When I was unboxing the pieces, one was completely snapped off, while other pieces of wood were cracked.

Bought for Guinea Pigs

I have 3 female Guinea pigs and I needed a cage with lots of room. I thought I would give this one a try because it has two levels and it said it was good for rabbits and Guinea pigs. It was easy to put together. Once I had them in the cage, they were terrified of the ramps. I closed it off and put them just on the top section. They got used to the short ramp that is on the top level. I will eventually open the bottom ramp once they get more comfortable with everything. Any way, do not, and I repeat, do not put wood shavings in this cage! It is a horrible mess! Its horrendous to clean! I did some research, and got fleece liners for the cage. So far, so good. Also, Guinea pigs like to chew, so after a week they already chewed up a bunch of the cage and chewed a lot of paint off. I hope they’re right about the paint being non toxic. There are pros and cons with this cage. I’m not sure if I would choose to purchase this again. We’ll see how it looks in a few months. The wood is very cheap.
Perfect in every way!
I bought this for hedgehogs. I took out the ramps and the grated part for the bottom and they are so much happier. They have alot more space to run around and play

this is really unsafe for rabbits. i have two. my buns are completely chewing up all the wood and im assuming they are ingesting the paint from it as well. there are also sharp nails sticking out that i have had to remove to prevent injuries. the hay feeder is located in a location that makes no sense bc they eat and pee on the bottom level where the mesh is while the hay feeder is all the way at the top so i had to add my own hay feeders. lastly its really difficult to clean. i like the size and the multi levels but i genuinely believe whoever made this never owned rabbits.

I recieved the product and assembled it exactly 2 weeks ago today. It was easy to assemble. The wood is really soft/lightweight and a couple pieces came cracked, nothing crazy that affected the integrity of the structure. It looks very nice once put together, functional space for the rabbit. Again, my only dislike is the frailty of the wood, its been 2 weeks and the rabbit has already chewed apart all the wood finishes, makes me question the longevity I tried to include pictures but it said the image was to large? ...also, the removable pans are difficult to slide in and out since there is no track. Overall it's nice looking, rabbits enjoy all the space, but easily destroyed.
