TNR kitty approved
Purchased in preparation for winter to provide shelter to the two TNR cats we currently feed. At least one of the cats seeks shelter here when it's raining, so I expect it will be used even more come chilly nights. This design won out over others due to the doors that open up for easy cleaning. The latches can be a bit finicky, but both the design and construction are solid. Cleaning is a breeze as well. The house is under our back porch, but the roof still gets hit by rain. We've experienced some pretty heavy rain lately, and the only moisture brought into the cat house was brought in by the cat themselves. I am very pleased and would buy again in the future to house additional TNRs.
Much-Needed Stray Cat House
Cute for basic cat house. Matches our shed. Chewy/Aivituvin delivered right product, no missing parts, a few minor dings in wood. Easy to assemble; one person can do. Soft wood so go slow when drilling in some parts or wood can split/crack. Great to have two doors that open in back for access inside! A few issues are: bottom slide-in floor board doesn’t slide in tight so wobbles a bit; best to install upper entry awning a bit higher up so easier for cats to fit/jump on upper slide-in “balcony” extension; that upper exposed extension could be bigger as could bottom extension for normal size cats; is not watertight so you may (or not) want to do some caulking. Provides shelter for strays, at least, and is exactly as depicted.
Should say water resistant
Overall I'm pleased with this. It was easy to assemble, looks nice in the yard and it's easy to access to clean, which is awesome. My only negative is that it definitely gets wet inside when it rains, so it's more water resistant than waterproof. I also noticed that the access doors, for cleaning, swell when it gets wet, so you have to wait a few days to get inside to clean it. Still for the price, and the size of it, it's worth the money and I'm happy with it.
Very good quality
My boyfriend built this pretty quick. It’s extremely sturdy & looks pretty. My two cats have yet to venture inside, but it is pretty hot outside still. They have laid claim by draping themselves on top of it though! I did air it out with the side doors open for a week due to the smell. All of these manufactured furniture items require time to release their chems unfortunately, but I expected that for the price. Would 100% buy this again!
Smells Bad. Very Bad.
I could smell chemical the minute I opened the box. I've left it outside for over a week. I've cleaned it with Dawn dish soap. There's a box of baking soda in there too. It is easy to assemble. Arrived well packaged. It's a good design but it stinks terribly. It's nauseating. Not sure if paint will mask it or make it worse but seems a lot of extra work just to make it smell better.

This cat house is perfect for the person(s) that do not want to build one themselves. The winters get cold and snowy in Ohio and this is perfect for any ferals that refuse to be caught and taken to a shelter.
Neat and fast
Quite easy to assemble. Smells like cedar. Gave it a coat of matte spray poly. Watch that the little roofs are tight to the wall: cats use them to boost to the roof!
