Cats LOVE it & easy assemble

Very attractive, multiple shelves & access doors, assembly instructions easy to follow & best of all is our cats LOVE it! We have it attached to our teardrop camper

Very attractive, multiple shelves & access doors, assembly instructions easy to follow & best of all is our cats LOVE it! We have it attached to our teardrop camper when we aren’t traveling. We added a plywood floor raised up with patio pavers to avoid moisture/rain.

Horrible smell, chipped paint and “wood”

We took everything out of the box and began assembling it but the chemical smell was (is!) very horrible and strong, and I don’t know what it’s from- the paint?

We took everything out of the box and began assembling it but the chemical smell was (is!) very horrible and strong, and I don’t know what it’s from- the paint? I assume? Many pieces are already chipped right out of the box/wrapping and I don’t want my poor cats subjected to the smell or worse, ingesting it if it continues to come off and apart so easily. Chewy is so great about returns but I have to say, it’s going to take some real tetris-ing and strength (box weighs 85 lbs) to get it out of my apartment (which is of course on the third floor!). Not sure if I just got a bad box but I really wish I had never ordered this!

Our cats love this, of course they do. All cats would. But do they have to put it together? Not so much. The assembly of this was just laughable. If you can put this together with your partner/spouse and still be together when it’s done you will make it through anything. Not all of the screws were the proper screws, directions were tough to get through (and I am a pro with pre-fab furniture) and it is literally impossible to do alone. It took about 2 hours from start to finish. A lot of the paint was scuffed from packaging, a part of the wood was split and it had a pretty strong odor- it could have been the wood material itself but I’m probably going to paint it with outdoor paint to be safe it’s water proof. Good, safe, outdoor option for my babies to enjoy the fresh air. Is it worth $300? No. Definitely over priced. But it gets the job done.

The "wood" is not high quality. Also needed to sand quite a few spots. No pre drilled holes so that was fun. Putting it together was horrible. It does fit up to 4 adults cats comfortably. 1 week use and the screws are falling out of the stands. I have a love hate relationship with it. I would never buy it again unless someone else but it together and it really needs to be a better quality of material to hold up long term.

Not as sturdy as I had hoped

This was pretty easy to assemble even though I had to do it by myself. The generous use of clamps made it possible to hold things in place while screwing the pieces

This was pretty easy to assemble even though I had to do it by myself. The generous use of clamps made it possible to hold things in place while screwing the pieces together. The wood is hard but rather small. I think for my purpose as a catio on a sheltered porch it will be fine. I am going to add some reinforcement at some of the joints. I think if this were to be in a situation exposed to the elements or moved one would need the added rigidity. For the $ spent it's OK since it will serve my purpose of allowing my cats more squirrel/bird and chipmunk viewing.

My cats appreciate having the room to spread out on the multiple platforms. And the human door is a great feature. Others have stated it is difficult to put together, but if you've put together anything from IKEA, this won't seem so bad. The instructions recommend that two people assemble it, but I did it alone. There was one tricky part (attaching the first side to the back piece), but it was otherwise okay.

It’s okay, does not have asphalt roof

Both the medium and large are listed as having an asphalt roof in the product description, but it must only be the large because my medium one does not. There were

Both the medium and large are listed as having an asphalt roof in the product description, but it must only be the large because my medium one does not. There were some chips in the the wood and I also had to cut some wiring that was covering some of the pre drilled holes so that was annoying. So definitely have wire cutters handy if you buy this. I actually bought it for my pigeons and works well for this purpose as well.
