products have been treated with a non-hazardous, water-based painting, which provides initial protection from weather conditions, but the product should be treated regularly if used outside. Wood dries out when not maintained and can become cracked, warp or become unsightly. For this reason, you should thoroughly clean and treat your pets hutch regularly. Make sure to use wood cleaning products and varnish that are animal-safe. Find a place that is as sheltered as possible to avoid wear and tear from the weather. We suggest you can paint the hutch again after half a year to extend the service time.
It was super easy to put together. We recommend 2 people and 45 minutes. And you just need to prepare a hand screwdriver or cordless drill.
All of our cages will come flat packed. It came with a sufficient pictorial manual. Screws were in marked plastic bags. Panels are stamped and come ready to be screwed together. Many have dowel rods that fit nicely into pre-drilled holes(pre-drilling will prevent any cracks and preserve sturdiness while keeping wood intact).

Bought this for my chinchilla. She's been in it a little over a month and loves the room. I was looking for more room for her and less mess for me, it has delivered! Easy to clean, wire keeps the bedding in the cage and off the floor. Smaller spaces also provide some extra protection from my curious kitty. Fairly easy to put together, used my drill to tighten screws, didn't actually need to drill anything.
One door damaged during shipping I just fixed not worth hassle of returning. Other than that it’s pretty good.
It’s super cute and really big too. Putting it together took me and my sister over 4 hours tho (we didn’t have a drill so I definitely recommend you get one) Our chinchilla loves it and it looks super cute in my room!
Got for my chinchilla, and he loves it! If you are wanting something of this size but don't want to spend the money on a full metal cage... Also i dont like how a majority of metal cages have a metal mesh/bar floor. This one is all solid floor. Deep bottom tray that slides out for easy cleaning. Definitely recommend this one. Now I would say I Definitely recommend assembling with two people, and Definitely expect to use a power drill. Also make sure to pay attention when you start putting the sides up to where the notches sit... because it doesn't specify on the directions. Very easy to put the doors on the back side (Definitely did it lol) but was not hard to fix. All and all it was easy to put together. I read some other reviews saying it was cheap wood... I don't think it is horrible wood. I think it's people not having common sense about building with wood. We didn't have a single problem with any cracking or anything like that. It was the quality I was expecting for something like this. I knew it wasn't going to be top notch but it wasn't any dried out partical board. People scared of CHEWING.... I will say he has nibbled parts of the hole edges but I just made sure he has multiple chewing toys and things to keep him busy. He has left it all in all alone. I'm happy with my purchase.
I liked the way this looked and seemed like it was going to be a wonderful alternative to the full wire cages like critter nation. After it was delivered and I opened the box and the fumes from the paint/Saint they used was soooo Strong. My whole house was consumed by it. I was pretty easy to put together with my husband. It took us about an hour to do. when placing the wheels on the pre drilled holes on the back right side was on the edge of a knot in the wood and ended up splitting the wood ( thankfully its on the bottom and I don't think it should be much of an issue). when connecting the sides to the back panels some of the side wiring covered the holes where the dowel rods should have to go into. So we had to go through and push the wire to make it fit in. There are a couple spots on the side wire that is missing some "links" and had a wire sticking into the cage and could of harmed any pet using the cage (we ended up cutting these off for the safe of our chinchillas) it just makes a spot there it is a rectangle instead of a square. for the siding wire it is a bit flimsy, so when we went to put their running wheel on to the side we were forced to add bracing to the side where the wheel would be at so it could support it. I think our next cage will defiantly be one of the brands of cages and spend a little more
