Okay, not perfect
Another review mentioned that this leash isn't 5 feet long, and I agree. I have two dogs and walk them together, so it's important for them to have the same length leash. This one is definitely shorter than 5 feet. I was also disappointed with the color, which I expected to be red, but it's more of a rosy mauve.
Hardware too Heavy
Although this Alcott Leash looks to be sturdy, the hardware is too heavy for my poodle's back. She is older & has arthitis.
I am so impressed with this new leash...it is fully adjustable, and it has loop on the end that opens to allow you to hook it onto anything...a chair/table leg, fence, etc. I bought three of them and have been telling all my dog friends about them. Great price also!!!!
Best Leash EVER! The Clip makes it!
This is the best leash I have ever used in my life. The clip is fantastic. I clip my pup to the cart when I take her to the store, I clip her to a tree while we eat in the park. I don't know how I would ever use a regular leash again!
Dog leash with awesome clip
Been looking for a clip like this cause my dog shakes her head and the clips would unclip and shed be loose this leash clip stays even on her prong collar and the handle is awesome
Not the leash clip that I expected
Picture and description refer to this leash as having a “ quick clip”. It does not; it actually has the typical leash clip that takes 2 hands to attach:(
It is too big for my small dog. The quality is high but it is not adjustable
Too short, not that sturdy, overall EH
I have been using this leash regularly for a couple of weeks now. First, it is not 5 ft, but 4 feet, so that’s a lie. Second, the material on the strap seems like it could be sturdy, but it’s not thick enough - not for a big dog’s walk, as it just doesn’t hold on the pull... it’s kind of flimsy in the wind. It’s difficult to grip or wrap around your hand for a sturdier hold. Third, this lease has a clasp on the handle that does not have a secure lock on it, so if you’re holding the handle or have it around you’re wrist, that clasp becomes undone and your dog goes free with the leash ..... oh, and the metal on this leash and it’s hook connecter is black, but only painted, as the black paint started chipping right away, after only the first walk! Smh.... Points for reflection and pretty color, tho the reflective tape wears with any kind of grip on it. I ordered it because the good thing is, it has reflectors on both sides of the leash, but I would rather find a 6’ rope /cylinder type leash with reflectors for my dog. She’s 70 lord and generally a really great walker, with strength to pull when she gets excited. This leash may be suitable for dogs 40 lbs or less. And not for long hikes / walks. Also, beware of the clasp on the handle that releases at will. I wouldn’t recommend this leash.
Alcott Weekender Dog Leash, 5-ft
Excellent quality. Leashes with a handle clasp (so you can effectively tie up your pet by your side) are not easy to find. No idea why everyone would not want one. Ever try to eat on a restaurant patio with a beggar?
