chickens didn't like them and kicked them out of the nesting boxes
chickens wouldn't use nesting boxes, maybe too rough? they would kick them out of their boxes. (using regular straw instead).

Hens shred them into pieces
My hens have quit laying ever since i out these in their laying boxes. And the hemp sticks to the egg shell. Will not purchase again
