This toy seemed like it would be fun. It was easy to set up and it is run by batteries and batteries are included. My cats were interested right away as well, the "tail" whips around and they enjoyed swatting and biting it. The problem was both the ball and the tail will not move on the carpet so if all you have is carpet in your home the toy is useless. It does work well on hard surfaces but seems to get caught in corners, but at least it rolls and the tail flops around. The toy does buzz the whole time it is on which my cats do not seem to like the buzzing noise. It shuts itself off after a few minutes and you have to press the button again to turn it back on- so once it shuts off the cats can not re-activate it themselves.

I expected this roller ball to be a little bigger than a golf ball, but instead it was bigger than a softball (huge!). I also expected the dangly thing to be made

I expected this roller ball to be a little bigger than a golf ball, but instead it was bigger than a softball (huge!). I also expected the dangly thing to be made of some sort of durable floppy fiber/string, but instead it was rubber. My cat chewed the rubber dangly thing up and started eating the pieces within an hour of it existing. Definitely do not get for big cats or cats that like to chew on their toys.

Well, I have carpeting, so this toy doesn't scoot around the room, but it does stay upright and the tail wiggles and twirls like crazy and drives me cat mad! He loves it. Most toys he's afraid of, but any "tail" toy he loves. This one especially. Do they have extra tails for this? thank you.

Our cats did not play with this toy; they were afraid of the “whip” (it beat them up) and got stuck every time it encountered a rug, carpet or corner. I tried 3 different times to see if anything had changed, but the most Domino (our youngest cat) would do was follow it around. Ollie, our 8 year old cat, wanted nothing to do with it. This toy might work well with other cats, but it bombed with ours.

Intimidating to our cats

We have 10 cats and only one of the cats were curious about this toy. The others were scared of it. I think the ball was too large and the emitting sound scared

Attention grabber....can be easily damaged in play

The toy definitely got my cat's attention! However, don't leave your cat alone as my cat chewed off the blue tail very quickly when I turned my head.
