Allisandro Midnight Gardenia Jacquard Dog & Cat Blanket, Black, X-Large

I usually don’t bother with “pet” blankets. The one dog I have who likes to be covered has always been blanket obsessed and it’s easier to just share mine with her, though tbh, only about 1 in 5 human blankets actually do the trick well. She’s a burrower of a beagle and always likes to be covered but ALSO with head lifted at body level,.. which I guess is good because even though she’s arthritic, she’d prob be much worse at 17 if I hadn’t been keeping her spine straight all these years. That said, at her age she can’t hop on bed or couch now and doesn’t matter how many ortho beds I get, fairly expensive or very, even those rare few with amazing, thick, wide, and high enough bolsters won’t prevent her from instead just curling up next to bolster’s side while demanding I place a thick blanket under chin, swaddle her with another. And of course an hour later, she’ll wallow and wind up on top of them, at which point I place more until she’s eventually atop a small blanket mountain. It’s not fun but is time consuming. So for her, I only use very long (to swaddle) and thick as I can get blankets. No point buying a small dog blanket when the price is usually comparable to human ones. I bring this up for those of you who may have a similar sized dog with similar needs, in case this helps, but also to admit I bought this for myself. Because my blankets often go to her, I like a throw over my legs on couch, and even though I typically avoid blankets on this site because I’m more interested in dog beds, health products and such, when I saw this I was really excited because of how stunning it looks in pic. It IS truly beautiful but I should’ve looked at dimensions, because large is on the smaller end even for a throw. I’m not sure it’d even fit over some large dogs, or just barely. Also, it seems too beautiful to be crawled on by many dogs, unless for one whose maybe a small, very clean little diva. Sadly, it’s too small for me to use comfortably for myself. That said, I placed on back of couch and looks nice, but had I realized size I may have gotten something else. These blankets are very expensive on other sites (where they’re not advertised as dog blankets) and I think are typically over 100$ for larger. The designer has great taste, and I got the “large” for I think around $30 so can’t complain, even if it’s really small and only being used as decoration. I do think the sizing is a bit confusing though and this should be considered medium at most, even for a dog.
