The ALLISANDRO Waterproof & Reversible Dog BlanketI is a life saver. live in the Colorado Mountains. My Husky loves to sleep on the bed. When she sheds her winter coat or brings some dirt in on her paws it is easy to clean the dog blanket with a handheld cordless vac.

That it's waterproof, not thick, and not fluffy

Why did I wait so long to buy this
This is a fantastic bed cover. The dog hair just falls right off. And the waterproof protection speaks for itself. I truly wish I would have bought this sooner

Not sure if I got a defective item but once I opened it I thought to myself this does not feel waterproof. So I did a little experiment and sprayed it with a water
Not sure if I got a defective item but once I opened it I thought to myself this does not feel waterproof. So I did a little experiment and sprayed it with a water bottle and it indeed was not waterproof. Which leaves me confused about the other reviews. Hopefully chewy can help me out here.
Good and not so good
My cats first (ok perhaps second) reaction was to try it out for pee protection. In that aspect it was great, not a drop penetrated and I simply had a small puddle
My cats first (ok perhaps second) reaction was to try it out for pee protection. In that aspect it was great, not a drop penetrated and I simply had a small puddle to wipe up. That said, I did what I always do after a pee episode, and I washed it. Here is where it got a little ugly in that it came out of the washing machine smelling like it was all mouldy (it wasn't mouldy - just smelt like it) so I hung it up outside to air in the sunshine, which seemed to clear it up. It is, I guess, one of those curious things with a waterproof item, that washing it will be a strange affair ! So hence the three stars - it certainly works as a waterproof protector. I will reserve ultimate judgement for after a next wash for a smell test - however in what it was designed to do, it did it very well.
