Gradually transition your pet to any new food over the course of 7-14 days to help avoid the digestive upset that abrupt changes in diet can cause. If your pet tends to be on the sensitive side, it may be best to take a little extra time. 1. Start by feeding your pet a mix of 25% new food and 75% old food for the first few days. 2. Then, increase the amount of new food to about 50% and feed that half-and-half mix for a few days. 3. Proceed to feeding 75% new food/25% old food for the next few days. 4. Complete the transition by feeding just the new food on its own.
I got this because it was recommended by my cats veterinarian. I researched that this food item has very good ingredients that help with itching and avoids any issues with the cat. I know that it is somewhat pricey, however you get what you pay for. My pet loved it straight away and it did not smell or anything. Definitely would recommend this.
Only two of our thirteen cats liked it. Guess it won't be a repeat.
I am brand loyal to Almo due to its great quality but something about this particular food was not well received. I'm not sure if the salmon was bad quality or maybe the fruit bit wasn't tasty. Like I said, sometimes they would eat it but most of the time it went to waste. So I would have to plan a few meals with different cans and then throw this one in one night randomly
Cans are filled more with fluid than food content I can usually figure 1 can for two days for my cat, but this mixture is cb only enough for 1 day.
The kitty loves this! I was a little bit hesitant because of papaya mixed with salmon, but she doesn’t seem to mind it. I’ve been buying Almo Nature food for my cat for years and I decided to try this flavor just to mix it up. She did not have any bad reaction to it (no vomiting nor diarrhea) and she enjoys having salmon once in a while.
So what do you do with finicky cats? Sigh, My cats don't care about the number of characters in the review. They just don'y want it.
Cats love this! Even my very picky older kitties eat this
