For Supplemental Feeding Only - Feed dog 1 1/2 to 2 cans of HQS Natural for every 10 lbs of bodyweight per day, rotating with different HQS Complete recipes and/or a dry dog food. Adjust amount based on dog's activity level.
Gradually transition your pet to any new food over the course of 7-14 days to help avoid the digestive upset that abrupt changes in diet can cause. If your pet tends to be on the sensitive side, it may be best to take a little extra time. 1. Start by feeding your pet a mix of 25% new food and 75% old food for the first few days. 2. Then, increase the amount of new food to about 50% and feed that half-and-half mix for a few days. 3. Proceed to feeding 75% new food/25% old food for the next few days. 4. Complete the transition by feeding just the new food on its own.
So originally my cats before I got them ate dry food, and when I got them I gave them this can cat food, AND YALL HAD ME SHOOK!!! MY CATS ATE THIS UPPP! THEY DEFINITELY WAS MUNCHIN! IT WORKED GREAT FOR MY CATS BYT YEA DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED (cut it up a little bit before serving probably the reason cats aren’t eating the food? Maybe? Idk)
I have two 6 month old kittens, currently exploring different wet food options. The product inside it smaller than the can itself, in water like broth. Both of my kittens wouldn’t eat much of it.
I rescued a kitten and wanted to buy high quality food for her. Like an idiot, I bought this food without taking note of the fact that it is to be used for supplemental feeding only. I fed her this food—which she loves—for 2 weeks and she has now grown lethargic (despite getting a clean bill of health—blood work done, vaccines given, dewormed—2 weeks ago) and we are rushing her to the vet. PLEASE note that this should NOT be given for regular feedings, as it does not supply crucially complete nutrition!!
Good ingredients. Very small amount of food in the tin. Quite a lot of broth too (that's okay, but be careful opening the tin). So far, this is the new kitten's favorite.
Gave this to two 10 month old kittens as a snack in between complete meals and they LOVE it. They lapped up the broth and cleaned the plate. Highly recommend to keep some around for supplemental feeding. I love the clean ingredients and how hydrating it is for them!
None of my 5 like this. I also have a stray who you would think would eat anything. He does eat the broth but not the chicken in it, even though I break it up for them to eat, stays in the bowl. I always like to try new stuff for them and I won't stop trying! This one is a miss though.
Both my cats love this. They are not kitten anymore but when it’s a deal I still get it for my both cats. It’s on my regular rotation for both cats
They all loved this food SO much. I wish it wasn’t so expensive ! That is why I won’t be able to order it regularly
My cats really like this as a treat. I’m very concerned for the people and especially their cats who say this is the only food they feed or their cats will eat. This is not a complete and balanced diet and only meant to supplemental and given in addition to their regular balanced diet.
I'm not sure why the cats did not go for this one. Oh well, I will continue to search for a healthy meat choice for them. However, it did not go to waste. My dog loves it! I give it to her as a "snack" once in a while. Still, it is good quality.
