I was extremely disappointed with this shampoo/conditioner especially after reading all the glorifying reviews. I have a Maltese dog whom my groom myself and have been using Fresh n' Clean for 26 years. Every once in a great while I change shampoos just for the heck of it and was never so disappointed as with this product. It does not have any ingredients in it to dissolve dirt and it doesn't dissolve dirt or lift staining. I'm not talking about deep facial stains but the type of stains that they get around their feet just in daily activity. It was like washing the dog in conditioner. As far as it being a conditioning shampoo, I had a great deal of difficulty combing through her long white hair while blow drying it and her hair came out extremely frizzy. I was really mortified to see that her feet were still dirty as was her face. Chewy did the right thing and refunded me the money but I thought that I should write a review about it because it is not the glowing product that others are saying that it is in my experience. It left the hair somewhat greasy yet very frizzy at the same time. It took me three washes with Fresh n' Clean to dissolve whatever it is that it left on the hair. I had to wash the feet with Dawn dishwashing liquid because it left some sort of a slimy element behind that I could not wash off with the Fresh n' Clean. I should mention that my dog is an indoor dog. She doesn't travel about outside to get dirty. The dirt That was supposed to come off with the shampoo is just regular household dirt that accumulates over a four week period of time. I would not risk purchasing the shampoo. It seems very appealing because it's mostly herbal ingredients but there's nothing in it, no surfactant, to lift the dirt out of the hair. It took me until I washed her very well with the Fresh n' Clean until I could get the mats out that the shampoo made. My Maltese does not mat and for the first time ever I was pulling mats out of her hair so it's not a coincidence.

Professional groomer, clean ingredients
I am a professional groomer and overall I liked this product. I don't typically use whitening shampoos because I feel like they don't make that big of a difference
I am a professional groomer and overall I liked this product. I don't typically use whitening shampoos because I feel like they don't make that big of a difference unless they are used super regularly over a long period of time. I usually don't see much of an immediate difference between a whitening shampoo vs just a regular shampoo. Otherwise I really like this shampoo/conditioner, it has a strong scent while washing (I am not personally a fan of the musk smell but I think that's just a personal preference) but a mild and very pleasant smell once the dog is dry! It leaves the coat shiny and very soft. It has very clean products which has done really well with my more sensitive skinned clients. Would be interested to try their regular shampoo/conditioners in the future!

I have a pittie that suffers from blue dog disease so his hair is very thin, washed out and lusterless. He has beautiful white markings but they end up dingy and muted because of where they are. I also have a brindle Frenchie with beautiful creamy white scattered about in her coat. I tried the any pet bright white because of I wanted to try and bring the highlights up and I liked that it is a shampoo/conditioner combo. The first thing I noticed was the extremely pungent almost floral scent. It was very overpowering and something akin to a drugstore perfume knock off. Not only was it off putting but with a fragrance that strong, I worry it might contain something that could irritate sensitive skin. I bathed both unwilling participants to give it a try on two different fur types. Pittie is thin and fragile, Frenchie is thick and much more dense. I was disappointed with its suds performance and found it more cumbersome trying to lather and disperse the shampoo. This may be due to it being a shampoo/conditioner combo, but it led to using a lot more product and a harder time rinsing off. Especially with the Frenchie's denser coat. I will say the whitening affect was noticeable. They were both sparkling in the sun and my pittie's chest was white as the snow. The whitener pulled up my Frenchie's highlights and her coat was like silk.

The nice things about it is it smells ok, I don't care for the muck smell though, makes the dogs really soft, my dogs don't have much white but the white they do have is their legs and with the mud they get stained and this does help make them brighter, it has been about 5 days and the dogs still smell like it, just not as strong as the first day and soft. It doesn't sud up very well so I feel you have to use more of it, but that could be because of it being a shampoo and conditioner. It does help shed the dogs but not as much as I would like. I love that it is in a pump bottle and not a bottle that has a lid. I do not think it is for dogs withh skin irritations and maybe allergies because my dog that gets irritated often itched a lot then I gave her a bath in her shampoo and was better. I would recommend it for the most part though

I received Alpha Dog Series 2 in 1 Bright White Shampoo and Conditioner at the perfect time. I had Carter out hiking and running with me (it has been raining this week) he got pretty muddy and we prefer a clean dog! His fur is curly and the curls got matted with mud. I towel dried him off and rubbed most of the mud off but he needed a bath. I opened the bottle of shampoo and showed Carter and let him sniff it. The scent was very pleasant a soft musk scent. Carter just followed me to the tub area I was surprised because I usually have to coax him along. I let him sniff the bottle again and told him to get in the tub/shower area. Carter just walked in! I gently used the shower head to get him wet and applied the Alpha dog shampoo/conditioner Carter seemed to be enjoying the bath! It lathered up nicely. I believe the scent had a calming effect on him. The shampoo cleaned his fur very well and his curls were easy to comb through. The conditioner left his fur feeling soft and silky. The shampoo was easy to rinse out and Carter seemed to be enjoying the spa treatment. If you have a mongrel friend who does NOT enjoy bath time try Alpha Dog Series 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner it might be what your dog needs!

This shampoo is a light lilac color, unlike a lot of other dark blue/purple varieties, and has a mild musk odor. The smell isn’t unpleasant and has a chamomile scent

The ingredient list is simple and made up of many natural aspects. I have a dog with hyper-sensitive skin and this shampoo did not irritate at all, which was awesome!

The only drawback is thatcI found I had to use more shampoo that the brand I typically purchase as it did not seem as concentrated. Would like to know if its cruelty-free as I only purchase products that have not been tested on animals.

My dog is not a fan of baths so the 2 in 1 formula of shampoo and conditioner combined is a plus! My dog has sensitive skin and this formula was gentle enough on his skin without compromising cleanliness. In fact, my dog has dry skin and after using this product once there was a substantial decrease in itching and flakes! This product provides a gentle clean and nourishing conditioner. The price is fair considering this. I would recommend this product to everyone!
