We have three dogs, a 5 YO Pitbull, a 10 YO Irish Terrier Mix who was abused as a pup before being rescued and a 10 YO Chorkie who.... you know is a chorkie they bark a lot and have Napoleon Syndrome so to speak. There three dogs feed off of each other and to be quite frank are out of control at times. When the pest control people service us, or to be fair anyone even our friends come over....., we keep the humans outside as you cannot have anyone come in the house. They bark even if the person stands to use the restroom or if they laugh too loud. My husband and i cannot even hug as they bark, jump and push their way in between us. If we do have people over inside the house, we have put the dogs outside for the duration. If its too hot (we live in Arizona) we put them in our bedroom as they are uncontrollable around people pretty much. When people are outside, it is bark bark bark, running back and forth, whining, pace pace pace, bark bark bark they have to establish alpha status and get even more anxious as they "boop" each other trying to gain pack leader, they won't be still at all and are incredibly loud. My husband has had the two older one's since they were pups. His late wife and he got them, but my husband was deployed a lot so his late wife dealt with them. She passed away 7 years ago and he and i have been together for 5 years. He has trouble controlling them as he is also high strung due to multiple Iraq deployments and they feed off of his anxiety as well. Solomon, the Pitbull we have pretty much raised together and while he can still be a handful, he is not as high strung as the other two. I have tried three brands so far of doggie downers as i call them and i can say so far this brand has showed the most success. We give the two bigger dogs 3 of the chews and the Chorkie 1. Today, Kenny has a friend over helping fix the drive belt on our Indian Motorcycle, and even though they have barked while he is here, they are probably 60-70%% calmer than normal when we have company. I am enjoying this and will be buying these again. We are still going to keep trying the other two brands as we haven't given them the full test, we have these, but i have to admit, this is nice :)
