Remove collar from pouch and unroll it. Remove inner piece and fasten collar around dog’s neck. Correct fitting allows two fingers to be comfortably inserted between collar and neck. Any excess length of collar beyond the buckle should be cut off.

Wouldn’t recommend
It did not seem to calm him at all, he kept licking at it and at one point got his jaw stuck under the collar

Catnip Collar
The only active ingredient listed is Nepeta Catarina L, which is just regular catnip. The smell is EXTREMELY strong and not good for households with sensitivities

I ended up with a headache and couldn’t keep the collar in the house. The cats DID love the collar because. Well. They’re cats and they love catnip. It did not seem to help calm them at all, but they had fun rubbing against the collar and the box is came in. The packaging was easy to open and came with easy to follow instructions. The collar was easy to apply and was easily adjustable for a wide range of sizes of adult cats from small to large.

Didn’t quite work out for my household
I got this for my somewhat feral female cat, Ming. She is skittish and always on edge. I hoped it would help her relax. Unfortunately, it did exactly the opposite
I got this for my somewhat feral female cat, Ming. She is skittish and always on edge. I hoped it would help her relax. Unfortunately, it did exactly the opposite. Getting it to fasten was difficult. It wasn’t super easy to pull through its own loops, and putting it on a scared kitty just made it a bad experience for her. Unfortunately, my other cat, Frisco, a male, became so obsessed with Ming and the smell of the collar that he harassed her constantly. He is meowing more often and is basically not the same gentleman that we are accustomed to. He has actually been more affectionate with me, so that’s a huge plus, but Ming refuses to get near me now. The collar was on poor Ming for a few days, I struggled to catch her to remove it and alleviate her newfound fondness from Frisco. This product seems to work super well for Frisco, and might work better when there is only one cat in the household, especially a male since Frisco likes it so much….But my poor Lady Ming is not a fan of her new extra attention from Frisco, who was once her favorite animal/person in the house.

This seems to be a helpful collar for an anxious pet. We have a cat we rescued barely this side of feral and it has taken 10 years of love and patience, but she still is skittish and can be a tad nasty at times. We ordered this collar to try to alleviate some of her anxiety. The only problem we had is getting it on her in the first place. It has calmed her, but no one is looking forward to applying another collar in 4 weeks. Maybe we won't have such a hard time next time. For a cat with anxiety, that is not almost feral, this would be a wonderful idea. I will order more for an upcoming move for my other cats to calm them during transition time.

We tried the Alzoo on him and although we still can not pet or pick him up, he did come out more and socialize with the other kitties we have. He hid less, so for us this was a success.
Strange Response
I put the collar on my cat as directed, but he REALLY wanted to chew it - he couldn't help himself.. He got his jaw stuck inside the collar so I had to cut it off

I left it on the floor for a few minutes and both cats were trying to chew it/rub on it - as if it's a strong catnip scent - I think one cat would run after the collar-wearing cat based on the behavior I saw. Not going to work for our two cats.

This collar smells so good you can tell it’s herbal but unfortunately this product did not seem to work on my cat. He is very high energy but gets scared easily
