I bought this Diffuser for my cat who'd been spraying everything due to stress. While it may (or may not) have helped him, it DID, however, calm down a cat whom I hadn't been able to touch for 7 years (after her spay surgery, she resented me). I was able to pet her a month after this Alzoo Diffuser had been plugged in. I'm sold on this.

I ordered this calming diffuser for our emotionally sensitive kitty, and it arrived at just the right time. He was having a bit of a droopy day, but this made such a difference! We plugged it in the living area (about 18x14), and within an hour, he came down the hall to investigate. He loved rubbing against it and seemed more relaxed by the evening. Since then, he's been returning to it occasionally, rolling around nearby and staying noticeably more chill. Our other kitty, who is naturally cautious, has been observing it from a distance, but I appreciate that it’s completely silent and doesn’t emit any mist or sudden puffs—it’s just a simple, attractive plug-in. It's been running for just over 2 weeks and still has over half the liquid in it. I believe these would last a good month! Overall, we’ve had a very positive experience, and we’ll definitely be refilling this as needed to keep our kitties happy and relaxed! Highly recommend for multi-cat households, especially those with sensitive or anxious kitties.

Received this with the base kit. I have not used the refill yet because I am still working on the original bottle that came with the kit. Since it is a refill, I am confident in saying that when placed in a 144 sq ft open door room that it did nothing for my two older cats (7 yrs & 8 yrs) that can be a little more anxious. With light construction work outside the house, they were not willing to stay in the room at all and have disappeared to hide. The younger two cats (9 mos old) did sleep a little heavier but still played as rambunctious as ever. I do like the packaging this refill comes in. All the information is on the package itself so there is no need for an insert and the box is just big enough to fit the product. No waste. Just wish it had chilled the older two out - at least a little to help with nail clipping.

We are a 1 dog 1 cat household, and our dog has always claimed our most lived-in space on the ground level as hers. She tolerates the cat's presence at times but will decide to chase her out on occasion. We created a safe space for the cat in a window perch, hoping she would join us more in that space. We've struggled to convince her to use the perch. Since placing the diffuser in this space we have seen a change in both animals! The cat has been coming in more often and lounging, even on surfaces other than her perch, and the dog has been accepting this. We like that this diffuser uses natural ingredients and no synthetic pheromones. The only reason we didn't give 5 stars is because of the subtle odor. Although most in out household don't even notice it, our daughter, who is very sensitive, does. There is a very mild earthy or even slightly skunky smell. We plan to leave it in for a bit longer to see if she acclimates to it, because we are enjoying the apparent effect.
