Treats become sharp

My dog enjoyed eating it but I noticed as he ate them they were breaking into very hard sharp splinters that not only hurt me but could potentially hurt my dog

We have a large breed dog that’s a strong chewer and he obliterated one of these in under 5 minutes. It says safe and digestible but some of the shards are quite sharp so I picked up a lot of the little pieces and threw away bc I didn’t want him swallowing the pointy bits. Also, the package that arrived did not look like the package shown in the product photo but the contents/ingredients appear to be as advertised. Won’t repurchase due to concerns with treat splintering.
