Smells nice but rather thin and watery

I just now opened this bottle of shampoo that I've had for a few months. It smells quite nice and is not overly fragrant. However, it is so watery that when I squeezed the bottle, much, much more than intended came out for one dog's bath. Glad I got it when it was on sale. I'll finish out the bottle but will not get more. On the plus side, it does lather well. Not sure if that would have been the case had I gotten a more appropriate amount out.
