The smell blended well with the natural musk of our dog so it didn't smell like an artificial perfume. Softened the coat wonderfully, goes a lot longer on smaller dogs but as our puppy grew bigger we were going through a quarter of the bottle every bath to make sure it actually got all over the dog where it needed to be. My dog has sensitive skin (armpits tear and dry out easy) but with this he didn't break out or dry up. Good addition to the bath routine, wish we could order larger bottles.
