Although the interior foam isn't machine washable, it would be best to hand wash it with dish soap and warm water and then let it air dry.

This pad is exactly the right size for an extra-large travel crate. It's thick so provides essential cushioning as crate gets moved in airport, and it is firm enough

This pad is exactly the right size for an extra-large travel crate. It's thick so provides essential cushioning as crate gets moved in airport, and it is firm enough not to bunch up inside the crate: stays smooth end to end and side to side. And our golden retriever actually likes it! She followed a treat inside and then stayed there contentedly. Nice looking, too. No wonder the AKC recommends it.

This crate mat is inexpensive and its construction is okay if you only want a crate mat that lies underneath a dog bed. I doubt seriously that the construction would hold up to any regular use as a bed. Dogs scratch their beds and move around on them. The cover comes off, and you must wash it before first use. As other reviewers noted, the plastic fir gets all over everything.

Nice cushy crate cushion

The cushion fits right in the bottom of the crate. I only gave it four stars because the blue gray color is actually a dark royalblue.

I am replacing a moderately chewed crate pad with this bed. It is incredibly soft. My 4 1/2 yr rambunctious Golden Retriever loves this new bed. I put the old one on the floor in my bedroom and he goes back and forth between beds at night. Just hope he doesn’t start chewing the new one because that cover will not hold up well, and my only complaint and concern about this bed.
