I've used this food since 2016 and my Akitas look great on it but you have raised the price $30.00 higher than what it should and to buy it straight from distributor at $55 per bag but you have to buy full pallet so shame on you for that because it doesn't need to be at this price.
I love shopping on Chewy, I got free shipping and it arrived the day after I placed my order. My one year old Australian cattle dog is obsessed with this kibble. He will eat it with no toppers. He’s very picky, and really enjoys this food. I’m happy that I found a new food to add to his rotation.
I switched to this food because my dogs were on grain free food and my vet said its bad for their heart. At first I thought this food was worth the money because my dogs are super picky but they LOVE this food and eat it very happily. It's very expensive food. However, shortly after switching to this food, both of my dogs have started eating grass. A lot of grass on a daily basis. To the point that they throw up grass or grass comes out when they poop and gets stuck in their butts. My dogs have never done this before. I did some research and it seems that if a dog eats grass it's because they aren't getting sufficient nutrients. This is highly unusual behavior for my dogs. I also noticed their fur is dull and shedding way more than usual and a lot of dandruff. I will be switching food.
I love shopping on chewy and my dog eats this food due to allergies. Unfortunately the price on chewy is so over inflated, I make an hour drive to a local pet store for a better price. Not sure when chewys prices went up so much.
All three pups like this food and one of them is quite picky.
Just off the bat my two Border Collies (who are allergic to chicken) were obsessed with this kibble. They never want to eat plain kibble without any topper or additives from me but this kibble was just as high reward as their favorite treats! They love the taste and for that alone I give 5 stars. It is so hard to find chicken free and I am so glad I picked this one! Will update on their itchy and red skin to see if there is any difference.
I have three very picky standard poodles and they really enjoyed this food. Happy to have found a new food to add to their rotation.
Caused my 10 month Schnoodle upset stomach apparently to much grease or oil cause Veterinarian bill.
My 3 yr old German Shepherd has always had dry itchy skin and even dandruff and hot spots. I have tried numerous premium chicken free foods and skin supplements over the years. This is the only food so far that gives her notable relief. She will scratch every now and then, but definitely not like before. If you are in the same situation, give this a try but wait about 3 months before switching foods again. My Vet told me it takes several months for a new food to make an effect on the skin. My girl is now on her 3rd bag. Im so happy I found this food. Also, she does not like Salmon formulas. She is very very picky, but she seems to enjoy this one.
I bought a few small bags of food for Cleo to do a taste test. Finding chicken free food is difficult. She picked this both by individual bowls and by mixing several flavors in the same bowl. She picked out the other foods - they were tossed on the floor. She ate the duck. Best part, no more refusing to eat and no more morning vomiting.
