Totally worth it

I saw Ammosorb mentioned on a Reddit thread for helping rid litter robots of the urine smell that basically melds with the plastic body over time. I have three trusty old LR3's that still work like a charm but they can stink like the dickens and I have been hunting for a way to correct that. This stuff is a gem! I started by doing (yet another) deep clean of the machine then added about 1/2 cup to the fresh litter and about 1/4 cup into the waste drawer underneath the liner. Fair warning that it briefly seemed to intensify the smell for several hours at first and I was worried, but by the next morning it dissipated and the smells inside the globe are gone. Now every time I change the litter or the waste bag I just sprinkle in a little more, and it lasts longer once you're doing maintenance versus in the beginning. I was hesitant to purchase the at first due to the expense but it is worth every penny and I don't think I will ever be without it again.

Good for a cat that power pees

My boy has issues with crystals and he drinks alot with his rx food. This makes the litter box need clean way more because he is always peeing. We switched to tofu

My boy has issues with crystals and he drinks alot with his rx food. This makes the litter box need clean way more because he is always peeing. We switched to tofu litter because the tody cats was getting stuck in his paws and tracking all over the place, not to mention when he was grooming he was eating it. The tofu litwr works good but the smell was much stronger than traditional litter. Ammosorb has really helped with the pee smell. I just shake a little in the box and it really rids the urine smell.

So I have a male cat, just one but his pee smells atrocious even with Double Duty cat litter. I sprinkled some on his litter then lightly mixed it in so it would do more than just sit on top. Also put a small amount in a tin just outside of his cat box to soak up escaping odors. Works like a charm, will be repurchasing

Works well in automatic litter box

I mix some of this with baking soda and put in the drawer bag of the automatic litter box and it has eliminated odors that used to happen a few days after the bag
