Very quiet
All 3 of my dogs were not happy about how long it took for their weekly nail trim. I wish the sanding wheel was interchangeable. I use Diamond tips on my lg Andis

This was a great tool for a task that is usually one of my least favorites. My dog was not scared throughout the entire trimming and I felt comfortable using it

Give them a treat while you do it and treat them to a spa day. I also really like this for dogs with dark nails, where it can be hard to know exactly where the quick is. This will make it easier that you don't mess up.

This nail grinder is small, easy to use, and it has a "turbo" speed, but its torque is very weak. When you push your dog's nail into it, the grinder slows way down

It only continues to spend (and grind) when you use very light pressure, but then it takes forever to actually grind the nail down. This grinder might be fine for a cat, but it was no match for my small (25 lb.) dog's nails.

I think this nail grinder is a great choice if you are looking for your own. Compared to others I've tried it is very quiet. There are multiple areas that can be used for grinding the nail, so suitable for dogs of all sizes. Moose is about 100 lbs and the larger cut off size worked well for him. Very easy to use, if only my dog would sit still.

This is a wonderful grinder. It is quiet, compact, rechargeable, and very safe to use. I think it would be best if you taught a dog at a young age what this is and what it does. One of my dogs will never let me touch her nails anyway so she was an immediate no. My other dog lets me clip his nails, but did not love the sound of his nail hitting the grinder. He tolerated me but wasn’t loving it. With some time and positive reinforcement though it might work, however, likely best for someone with a nail tolerant dog or young dog they can introduce this to gradually.

My pointers usually fuss when we trim their nails, but my smaller boy loved it and was so well behaved for his pedicure! The only issue I have is that I cannot use it with the guard attached for my 60lb pointer. His nails are too large to fit into the guard’s slots.
