This is the 2nd one my job has purchased for Groomimg and it seems the charger port keeps breaking inside. Thought the first one was defective but it seems like a recurring issue.
This dremel worked great at first then less then 2 months of having it the charge port broke off and fell into the dremel itself. I liked it but not worth the money for only a few weeks of use.
I used mine for about 8 days (also its been slow so not many dogs per day) and the charging port just disconnected and was loose inside the tool. Don't know how to fix it but it was obviously not made well. I never dropped it. Also hair seems to get stuck in the tool more than the similar dremel brand ones. Overall annoyed with another cheaply made andis product.
Worked until it broke. The charger port broke inside the grinder. Not sure if it was glued or soddered onto the charging circuit board.
Bought on a whim as it was on sale for $10. Overall has done the job and I will buy again (but probably will have to soon as a good bit of chewing has done some damage) Pros: - This toy keeps my pittie and my chihuahua/min pin busy for about 15-20mins at a time - It can hold about 1/2 cup of food at its fullest (which may be a con for someone with a bigger dog!) - Easy to wash and get fully clean with a small bristle brush Cons: - Not a great option for super chewers. Even supervised my dogs have chewed the side quite a bit and picked off much of the purple rubber on top. We’ve had it for ~6mo and use it a 1-3x a week so I can’t truly complain - A bit annoying to fill as the hole on top is not very big. Even with a funnel you have to shake it to get food to go down inside
I love this dremel for the price, I haven't had any issues aside from the sanding rolls sliding up while in use. The charge lasts a long time, I've had it 6 months and have only had to charge it 3 times. For perspective, I have 3 of my own animals I use it on and 2 more family pups.
As a long-time groomer, I've used several different nail grinders in the past but I really like this Andis model. It's a little longer than I'm used to, but it is lightweight and the 3-speed feature is great. The sanding drums are very effective at trimming & smoothing the nails & this model is fairly quiet. Plus, having no cord in the way is perfect.
This item was great at first. I used it several times, but then it began to be difficult to change the sanding pads and I couldn't find the right ones to use. Then I changed the pad and the entire tip fell apart; screws and all. I am going to give this another ry. Hopeully, I received a bad one and the next one will hold together better.
After wrestling with two dogs trying to clip their nails. I gave up and ordered the Andis Cordless Nail Grinder. After the initial struggles, we got it done. The second time was a breeze, zip zip and a treat, next dog same thing, zip zip and we're done. Love that it has speeds also.
Device does not hold a charge. Let it charge for a day and it will turn on but shuts off after only a few seconds. Can’t even hold power button to stay on. Tried charging again and it doesn’t work. Defective product.
