Is it true that this product taken internally stops the the tear ducts from doing their job and that the dogs will end up with dry eyes?

A porphyrin is a compound that reacts with light to produce a reddish brown stain to the medial canthus. The ingredients in Angels' Eyes will prevent your dog from contracting Ptyrosporin (Red Yeast) and bacterial infections which causes excess tearing and staining.

These chews and the Angels' Eyes Natural Formula for Dogs (powder) are formulated a little differently since one is in chew form and the other is a powder. They are however, designed to give the same results.

Didn't seem to do much to keep my shih tzu's eyes clean. The circular pads didn't work well on the shape of my dog's head.
