I was excited to find a single ingredient dog treat that is also healthy. Meats from New Zealand are always high on my list for food safety and handling, and having a freeze dried raw treat is convenient for training and travel. Also, lamb tripe is one of my dogs favorite organ meats. So it was no surprise when I opened the Animals Like Us bag and they went wild when the smelled it. Thank you for such a great product and I am looking forward to trying all the other varieties too.

I have three dogs: Sadie (15lb, blonde), Oliver (18lb, black), and Sheila (22lb, grey). So first and foremost, if my dogs were to review this, they absolutely would give it a 5/5. MY review is a 3/5 solely because they smell horrible. All three of my dogs love these treats, to the point they now know the smell and will come running if I even open the bag. My husband and I, on the other hand, both think these are some of the worst smelling treats we have encountered. I’ve dealt with many other products that have odors, but these smell like something dead (lol and they are!). I breathe through my nose when feeding them these, and the smell does linger even after I’ve closed the bag. For someone feeding a raw diet, I would think these would be an excellent choice. I appreciate the eco friendly packaging (soft plastic recyclable) and that the treats are single ingredient. The only reason I won’t be buying these is because of the smell.

Oh my goodness, my younger dog can't contain himself around these treats! He smelled them through the bag before I could even get it open and was so excited to try them and he absolutely gobbles them up! He loves them for sure! I myself am not a huge fan of the smell, but if my boys like them, I love them. My older dog is not quite as excited about them, he prefers crunchy treats, but he is not going to pass them up and does enjoy them.

Quality ingredients are very important when choosing treats for our dogs. With one having allergies, I am always searching for healthy, simple treats. These treats have one ingredient which is perfect for us! We tried tripe treats before but they were harder consistency and our Shihtzus had difficulty eating them. Animals Like Us Grass-Fed Lamb Tripe were different. They have a lighter/airy texture and our dogs did not have any problems biting into them. The size was big enough for them to not swallow whole and small enough to give them a few at a time. They were a big hit with our dogs and will definitely put them on our buy list!

I liked the bite sized pieces. I have a 15 lb miniature poodle so they are good for both training and treats. They are easy enough to break if a piece is too big,

I liked the bite sized pieces. I have a 15 lb miniature poodle so they are good for both training and treats. They are easy enough to break if a piece is too big, yet they don’t crumble. I give them as an after dinner reward and for practicing fronts and finishes. I also have a cloth treat ball that has 8 places to put a treat in that works well. However, I don’t find much difference in my dog’s excitement with these treats. He likes them well enough but not anymore than his other treats. What is appealing is they are freeze dried, so a good shelf life, and grass fed and made in New Zealand.

They all loved them and came back wanting more. I like that they are raw food with limited ingredients. I also think the size is perfect, for a “good dog” treat or a training treat. Of course, our Retriever was patiently waiting for his surprise. I gave him one for his patience and immediately closed the bag.
