    My Horse Is Walking Again

    By on

My horse came down with his first acute laminitis attack in all four feet. He was completely debilitated and in excruciating pain, unable to lift feet for farrier and couldn’t even take one step, breathing heavy, grinding his teeth and dripping with sweat. I couldn’t let him be in this much pain anymore and was about to euthanize him, and this stuff was my very last resort. After just one week of him being on this he is moving around his stall, turning around to get water, HUGE appetite, he started neighing again, his personality is coming back. He’s obviously still in pain and limps, because it’s only been one week. I can’t wait to see if this continues to help him recover, but so far I am My horse came down with his first acute laminitis attack in all four feet. Hoof health

    By on

I have used this product before, but had stopped giving it to my horses about 8 months ago. Then, in November, my oldest mare suffered a metabolic episode and for 6 weeks could barely walk, so I purchased the product again, specifically for her, but I (try to) give it to all my horses just as a preventative. One mare will actually leave her grain alone if it's topdressed with Remission. Two other horses are OK with it, but the mare with the health issue won't always finish her grain if it has Remission in it. This makes things difficult, as her Thyro-L and Equioxx are also in the bucket, so now I'm unsure if she's getting all her meds. I think it's probably a good product (my farrier liked the ingredients), but I'd be much happier with a pellet than a powder. The powder just sinks to the bottom of the bucket unless I add liquid (like aloe vera) and stir to coat the grain. My old mare doesn't like soggy grain.....sigh. I have used other Animed products and believe them to be of high quality. … more

    What a difference!

    By on Top 500 Contributor

I moved from Illinois to Tennessee about two years ago. Kept both my horses on their original diets but last year my gelding started having separation issues. My farrier said it was likely white line disease. So I did intensive white line treatment which helped my mare but my gelding not so much. After my farrier quit, I got a recommendation for a new one and she said the issue was actually likely nutritional. Makes sense, he’s an easy keeper so he gets a ration balancer and grass or hay, where as my mare gets a complete feed. She recommended starting them on this product and viola!! I highly recommend this to people who need additional minerals that may be lacking in their region regardless of founder or laminitis showing up in your horse. Balanced with proper care, exercise and forage this product can be the missing piece to your puzzle. The one con- This product does have a not so great taste and it’s not water soluble so be sure to mix it in well. They both adjusted to it quickly and eat it with no problem. I think the horses and myself can tell you the one con is definitely out weighed by the results we have seen. … more

Seems to work on my mule

    By on

Much cheaper than other products I've used for my mule. He has lost his neck crest and protruding belly. It will probably be months as his hooves grow out to see any improvement. Only downside is it only comes in powder. I find a lot of it stuck to the bottom of the feed tub or pushed aside.I feed more than the required amount to make up for that. It's a pain to keep hiding it in applesauce etc. and washing out the feed tub everyday. Wish it came in a pellet form.

    improvement

    By on

My mare of 20 years started with symptoms of laminitis/founder. She was barely walking and could see the pain she had in her front legs. After researching and reading reviews I finally decided to start her on this supplement. It has been almost a month since starting her on this supplement and I have seen a great improvement. She is walking/moving better.

    Works for me!

    By on

After only 10 days being on remission, my 4 year old half thoroughbred, has greatly improved. My farrier was amazed at the improvement in her hoofs and said he would be recommending it to one of his other clients that also has a foundered horse. With proper diet and remission I hope to keep my baby healthy.

It works for my two easy keepers

    By on

It's my belief that this product, along with common sense regarding turn out, saved my two foot sore easy keepers from founder.

    This works!!!

    By on

I was hesitant to order, I have been trying to get the results I am getting now for a year with a Doctor prescription. My horse is 16+ years old, we used to work cattle but since he foundered a year ago I turned to my vets, well... My daughter urged me to try this and I am so glad that I did. After several trims by my friend who is a farrier, may 24,2018, he was trimmed again. It is day 5, she was amazed at how much better his feet are compared to 2 weeks ago. Thank you for saving my baby!! He will now be given this everyday. I put it with 1+ lbs. Of gro N win also. He is building muscle tone back that he lost due to not being able to walk far
