    Is this just rock salt??

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

Not sure you need to buy aquarium salt as I have read that kosher salt works too. That said, I diluted this as instructed and used it to sanitize new plants before putting them in my aquarium. The last time I bought plants, I did not so this and ended up with a snail infestation. This product worked well. No unwanted snails in my newly planted aquarium, the plants weren’t harmed and neither were the fish.

    My go to pond salt

    By on

We have a 400 gallon indoor koi pond and we have hard well water. After a good 1/4 empty and fill with water I add just the right amount of Aquariam Salt recommended. We have had a natural pond for years with out a clarifier we use real plants and only use products that will not harm our fish or pond plants . Proven winner here for us.

    Very Good and Cheap

We used to buy this at pet shops and it would usually be expensive for only one. In Chewy, it's cheaper.
