I had used the flake version of this brand for my goldfish, with no problems. But this version of sinking pellets immediately made the water in my 20 gallon tank cloudy and smelly. I was suspicious of the food, so I cleaned out the tank and tried a different brand of flakes for two months, with no problems. Yesterday I decided to give the pellets another try, because I bought two large containers and didn't want to waste them. Now the tank is again cloudy and smelly. I am going to throw them away.
The are an API Product
They sink. The only thing I do is order the medium to large sinking pellets next time. My Fantails are 3 to 5 inches.

These work well as my pond has a waterfall and the other size pellets don’t sink as fast as the small ones. Would love to see a larger container.

We started using API pellets 2 years ago for our pond gold fish and were very pleased because there was a lot less food wasted and noticed our filters stay cleaner a lot longer. We feed twice a day and only what the fish can eat in 3 minutes and once we had that established we only had to rinse the filters every two weeks and kept the water was crystal clean. One of the greatest things we noticed was the pellets didn’t break down quickly giving the fish time to consume all of it unlike flakes and others floating foods we tried.
Happy fishie
My goldfish loves these - catches a few on the way down and finds the rest on the bottom. No extra, no mess (like flakes were making)

Goldfish Food
Food is good, but container needs to be packed differently as the bottom was split out. Was able to salvage food.

Pellets are very small, a couple millimeters. As stated, these are sinking pellets, and my goldfish loves them. I also have a catfish who also munches on them. They are a great size for smaller bottom feeders, not sure how nutritional they are for other fish, but I do know my Cory Catfish loves them as well.
not sinking

These pellets do not sink. If I throw in 15, 3 will sink and all the others will float. My fish do like them but I feel like I am wasting them trying to get a few to sink, also wasted food floating around can cause all sorts of water problems. I will not be buying these again.
