Description

Ensure your fish are getting the nutrition they need while you're away for the weekend with the API Weekend Pyramid Fish Food Feeder. Overfeeding or sprinkling large amounts of food in the tank may feed your fish through the weekend, but it can also create unhealthy water quality. Uneaten food, along with fish waste and other organic matter, pollute water and increase harmful levels of ammonia, nitrite and other toxins which cause stress, illness and even death. This patented pyramid-shaped feeder block contains nutritious, slow-release pellets which means less uneaten food and waste in the tank. Each pellet is a uniformly balanced meal and one pyramid will feed 15 to 20 average-sized fish in a 10 gallon aquarium.

Key Benefits
  • Slow-release pellets allow for continuous feeding, even when you're not home.
  • Meets the nutritional requirements of all aquarium fish (Goldfish, freshwater, tropical and saltwater).
  • Each pellet is a uniformly balanced meal, and one pyramid will feed 15 to 20 average-sized fish in a 10 gallon aquarium.

FAQ

How does the API VACATION PYRAMID FISH FEEDER work?

API VACATION PYRAMID FISH FEEDER should be used as a temporary substitute for daily feeding for your fish while you are away on vacation. This block, which contains a highly nutritious formula, is designed to slowly release the proper amount of food to your fish each day you are gone. This eliminates the risk of friends or neighbors overfeeding the fish, which can lead to harmful ammonia spikes in your tank. This particular feeder lasts up to 14 days, but may pollute water if your tank is left completely unattended for this length of time. Use as directed.

How long does API VACATION PYRAMID FISH FEEDER last?

The API VACATION PYRAMID FISH FEEDER is designed to last for 14 days; however, this does not mean that your fish can survive without a water change for 14 days. A fish that is eating is still producing waste, and waste builds up over time. If you must use the feeder block for the full 14 days, it is important that a water change occurs at the 7 day mark. This should be a 25% water change (or 50% if it is a tank under 10 gallons) in order to clear out built up waste from them enjoying the block. Remember, a fish tank requires more maintenance than feeding in order to stay happy and healthy for the duration of your vacation. API VACATION PYRAMID FISH FEEDER is a tool that can be used to make things easier when going on vacation, but it is not the only thing that is needed for the fish to survive and thrive if the vacation is a long one.

    Good product

    By on

This product does worked and helped to keep my fish alive and fed while I was gone. However it only lasted about 6/7 days. Also if you have gravel or colored sand it will make it look dirty for a while.

    NOT WHAT ADVERTISED

    By on

I purchased this to use for my 1 week vacation, thinking no worries if it is suppose to last 14 days. I returned home after 7 days. It was completely gone.

    Terrible product

    By on

This product was terrible. Thankfully, I had tested it before I went on vacation and I left it in the tank for 2 weeks while a friend took care of them. It had barely dissolved and looked like there was hardly any food in it. My fish weren't interested at all.

    great for your fish

    By on

I always leave one of these in my three tanks before I go away for a long period of time, two weeks at most. It's usually gone by the time I get home. Give enough food for them to survion while I'm gone and they also nibble on the algae. They love these things. Snails and shrimp all love it as well.
