Overall bad experience. First order was lost, Chewy took a while before they sent a replacement. Once I receive the tank, I was amazed it wasn’t broken. Due to the lack of packing material used to keep it safe. This would definitely be a risk, just got lucky. Although I did not get lucky on the lid. One of the plastic pieces that allows the lid to sit on top of the tankwas broken, rendering it useless.

I was looking for the perfect nano tank, to go single species with my shrimp hobby. After spending hours in comparisons, this set impressed me with the rimless low-iron glass, the LEDDY light, an adjustable temp heater, and the PAT MINI filter. The price is a bit higher than visually similar kits, but the quality is absolutely worth it. Once I got my first tank cycling, I loved it so much I decided to get FOUR more and just go across the whole piece of furniture to rear a different variety of shrimp in each. One thing I loved about this tank is that it is 7.8 gal, 30L, which means you are bound to still have 5 gallons of water after adding substrate, rock, and plants. I don’t think any other aquarium could have inspired me to order four more. If you are giving this as a gift, the packaging is also quite pretty with a luxury/boutique vibe, not big box store style, as Aquael is a small business, I believe, based in Poland. Having everything in the set made it so much easier to get started, having the confidence that the pieces in there were going to save me hunting and ordering a product without a company standing behind it. If you ever do have issues with anything Aquael made, in my experience, if you contact them they rush you a replacement (and sometimes even a gift) and you can skip the store entirely. It has kept me coming back to their brand. One more thing, the blue light? It’s perfect for watching TV or wind down before going to sleep. A tip, set the light on a timer so that it comes on time 1, then one minute later turns off, plain white light. Then when it comes on time 2, it will be the plant spectrum light. Finally, I have that turn off and turn on again, and it displays the blue light. I think it would be annoying without the programmable timer, but with the timer it’s no fuss for me. I also discovered that if the Pat Mini isn’t making as many bubbles as you like, the filter may be at capacity, so you rinse it in some old tank water. I like the max bubbles, so I take the cap totally off of the tube and ensure that the small black spout above the motor is within an inch below the water level. Also, in my pics here, I do have tiny fog machines running at the surface. You wouldn’t have such a fog otherwise, unless you wanted to do the same. Finally, I’ve dropped my hard mountain stone against the special high clarity glass a few times, and I can confirm it does not scratch easily. The same rock-to-glass would definitely have scratched my acrylic tanks or my regular glass tanks. Overall, I highly recommend this one for the best quality and the easiest, ready to use set.

Filteration is no good

The main reason I don't like the take is because of the filtration it comes with... it's cheap & inefficient. Not worth the money.
