slightly bigger than advertised
I have an 11x11 cube tank and I figured if it was exactly 11 inches it would either squeeze or it would have to be slightly diagonal on the lid of my tank. It works but it didn’t fit where I wanted to put it. Just be aware if you need it to fit in an 11 inch space, leaving room for the cord and end pieces it takes up about 11.25-11.5 inches.
Good while it lasted
We didn’t submerge this light in water, but used it on the top of our fish tank. It was set on a timer to go on about 4 hours each night. It lasted only 2 months. It worked really well during this time, but the shelf life is disappointing.
PERFECT for my 20 gallon
My lights on my hood started to fail after 2 years. I searched and found this light. The light is an easy install, I moved the tank and put the hood on a flat surface. The suction cups stink , they really don't stick to the light. I used clear zip ties and the wiring of the old light to hold it. The color is pretty, I like the different colors. I don't see one working for a tank any larger. You would need two or more. But for my set up it's perfect. My gourami looks pretty especially with the blue option, the neon tetra looks like they are glowing. Excited to see it at night. The remote will NOT Work unless you leave the receiver visible. I just left it on the top of the tank and hid the wires behind. I hope this lasts longer then the last one. Over all very happy with the light. I have mine on a wall timer, although it has a timer on the light .
Great first time lighting system
I would have given a five. Except for the fact that one of the suction cups is not doing its job and it slides down on that side. Other than that it's really fun and cute. Comes with a color changer to play with. LOL

I was very skeptical about buying this only because I normally try to go for something that has reviews that let me know if it works or not. It helped out so much in the tank. We have a 55 gallon turtle tank with an above water basking platform. It’s dark under the platform so my turtles were sleeping all day instead of being out and active like they were before they had that dark area so they were getting confused on day and night. We added it under the platform and it helped with this issue. They are now more active and seem to enjoy the light. This is probably the only fully submersible light that I found and I love the timer feature. Thank you for a great purchase! Tried to put in a photo but it wouldn’t let me.
