lousy light

Died less then a year , light burnt up and smelled up the house.

No three way switch!

got this to replace other 3 way cover, oh well so much for thinking. It shows 3 on box but not on top only a 2way:(

I have not had this light more than 2 years and it is broken. For that price, this should not happen.

Brighter than I thought it would be.

After reading other reviews, I was worried that the light would not be bright enough. I decided to try it any way because the price was reasonable. To my surprise, it was just as bright as the fluorescent fixture that it replaced. It also has a blue night light as well. Very happy with the purchase.

Not worth it

I have two aqueon modular lights a 24” and a 30”, after buying the light, and getting the light bulbs I was content with them until I come home one day and thought my fluval aquasky was on thunderstorm setting, wrong tank my aqueon modular was blinking, called aqueon tech got told they could tell me where to buy a new power adapter, I bought my fluval aquasky before the aqueon, it’s still running fine and all it’s cost we’re in its total, i could understand if the power went out and I didn’t have my light on a surge protector, but for it to just malfunction on a clear calm day and it is on a surge protector to get told by tech he could refer me to a site that I could purchase another power adapter for this light, lastly when I asked how much a new adapter would cost all the tech said was We don’t set the price we’re just the manufacture, I recommend spending a little more upfront and getting a fluval at least all the prices with there lights is a one time purchase

love LEDS lights

I’ve had a fluorescent light on my 29 gallon for the longest time so I decided to try out this LED fixture. I love the design, which makes it easy to attach and size to any aquarium, and it lights up the tank way better than before. It comes with one bulb but there’s slots for more if you prefer and a day and night time switch too. My live plants even do well with this light.

great light

I held off on getting LED until my old style bulb went completely. I was very happy with the brightness and the ease from box to pressing the button on top instead of on back which is a plus. The only downside ive been experiencing is a lot of algae buildup under the hood that it sits on I have to take hood off completely weekly to wash it I used to only have to this every three months post LED .. also I did goof up on size I should of gotten the next size up instead of 20 in. so if you have a 20 gallon tank keep that in mind its still sits ok but the adjustable brackets were made to short to stretch and hold on so the light does slide back and forth on top of the hood every time I open lid :( all in all it lights up great just wish I got right size..
