Wasn't what I hoped it would be
Aside from the impeller for the pump being insanely loud, the cartridges have to be cleaned out every other day. Even with new cartridges, the water keeps going to the overflow, triggering the LED. I've got this on my 40gal tall. Not happy woth the performance.
Quietflow 75
I've had this filter now for 2 weeks. It's been running on a 55-gal African Cichlid tank, and I'm impressed. It's not only quiet it does a great job filtering and aerating the water. I've always had clear water but now it has that polished, crystal clear look to it. I have several other tanks, all running Aquaclears. If and when they quit on me I will replace them with Aqueons. My only complaint is with the cartridges. They are cheap, but expensive in price. No problem, there are several other alternatives to using them.
Not worth it!
I Ordered one of these for my first order and it was bad from the start. Chewy replaced It and sent me a second one. It has lasted just over a month and has now just stopped working. Very disappointed!
Did not last
I got this filter and installed it on July 25th, 2023. It is September 3rd, 2023 and I woke up this morning to a dead motor and the tank has been sitting with no filter overnight. Everything inside the tank is fine, but this was a very expensive item to not even last 2 months.
Reliable
We’ve had this same unit running continuously for five years and it’s still going. I’m only ordering a replacement because I figure it has to give out at some point, and I want to have one on hand when it does.
Used or refurbished or returned
It came is a brown box supposed to be new looks used or refurbished. They should let people be aware
No directions?
I would have appreciated a few more instructions on putting it together and actually installing the LED light and battery. We, as consumers, are not always able to understand how to install things. Instruction would be nice.
great dog food
I’ve done my research on what kind of dog food to get and this brand I found to be priced reasonably and healthier. And it’s the ONLY one my dog likes. I’ve tried so many different kinds, even different flavors of this brand, and she gets tired of them. This flavor she hasn’t stopped eating! I’m having to buy it more frequently now and she’s a good healthy weight because she’s finally eating all her food!
Quiet, can sleep in same room, keeps aquarium clean
Love it for my 80 gallon, the aquarium came with a loud obnoxious boisterous sound when doing it's job I couldn't get any sleep and I use the Aquarium to help my PTSD night terrors and anxiety stress when trying to sleep. So I read up and this was recommended . It lives up to it's word and is very quiet, all I hear is peaceful bubble ambient low sound very soothing for a good night's rest. Does a fabulous job in cleaning tank. I will be buying a 2nd one to put in other side of my long 80gal. So I can get rid of the original filter that is on opposite side of this one I got for the aquarium. I need two of these with the amount of fish and natural plants for a good clean tank. Two (Aqueon 50gal. version of this will give the 80 gallon plenty natural oxygen bubbles, and keep the tank clean if you have lots of fish and +natural aquatic plants. I have one that I pulled out and extended to bottom for good bottom cleaning cycle and waste remove especially with sand, with my sand in aquarium, while the other will be used for cycling a closer to top of tank. I do put a barrier to protect the baby fish and help allow some of the food to settle instead of being sucked up, it's got a good sucking in pull.
Killed all my fish
I didn't realize that one of the 5 steps of filtering was also filtering your fish. I thought my Betta had bullied my Corey catfish to death because I was finding them in the filter intake. Then I woke up to the Bettas tail completely ripped off. I ended up throwing the filter away out of sheer frustration and ordering a new one
